Fished here a few times, not yet hooked a barra but will keep trying. Some days hook a few catfish or small carp but mostly it’s blank especially on the big lake.Had a bad experience one afternoon, about an hour before dark I decided to try my hand so after about 5 requests for a rod and some bait the manager barked at the staff and they duly delivered the gear, I got the feeling they didn’t want me to fish that late even though the park advertises it is open until 10pm, this was around 4.30pm. I was handed a rod and reel already tackled up and a small bucket of damp breadcrumbs which would not stay on the hook! Previously on other visits I had been given the same bucket of breadcrumbs for groundbait and some slices of white bread to squeeze on the hook. Bearing in mind I was being charged the full daily rate of 300bt for only may one or one and a half hours, I asked for some slices of bread for hook bait to which the old lady said in a very annoyed tone, “you want bread go seven” meaning go buy your own from 7/11.Totally unacceptable way to run a fishing park and when I did hook a catfish there was no one around to net it, in fact there wasn’t even a net left nearby. As far as fishing parks in Pattaya go this is definitely the worst run of all of them, it seems the Thai family that live on site run the place, not the farang owner(s)
