King Power Pattaya is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking 8 Moo 9, Sukhumvit Road Nongprue Subdistrict, 20150, Thailand
I checked this place out before a coffee meeting over the road.I must say i wasn’t impressed at all. It was uninviting as soon as you walked in.Big open spaces with nothing.Go to any of the hundreds of other shopping malls for a better shopping experience at cheaper prices.
Took absolute ages to pay at the cash desk because of the queue of mass tourists who each wanted their individual purchases separated. Then they could not get my Thai bank card to work….so I had to walk to the other hall to withdraw cash….to be honest not sure if a bank problem. But because my cash withdrawal worked I suspect it was a problem with their checkout desk card authorisation device.Good selection of items. Less stress than shopping in a rush at the airport.
Before we visited, I went on the website and saw a lot of brands that I recognized and love. I was expecting to get some shirts and jeans, also some electronics for me and loved ones. But apparently, there was only at best 40-50% of the brands that they said is there on the website. On top of that, some stores that I liked had a very limited selection to choose from. Despite the duty free discounts that seemed to attracted A LOT of Chinese tourists, the entire place seemed more like a old airport terminal with some severely understocked stores. All in all, if you’re looking for some true shopping experience, I HIGHLY recommend you look somewhere else in pattaya, or take the 90 minute drive to Bangkok for some much better places to shop. DO NOT COME HERE!!!!! I REPEAT!!! DO NOT COME HERE!!!
King Power Pattaya complex offers a very limited range of goods. Their prices are not great either. Not recommended to the bargain hunter.
The king power Pattaya is about 10 mins drive from my hotel near the beach road. The shopping complex is huge in size and has some of the best brands to offer. We were mostly attracted to high end brands of duty free cigarettes and alcohol. The store however seemed a little under stocked as there were large gaps from one showcase area to another. Apparels seemed a little under stocked as there were only handful of brands. But who cares about the apparel if you get a JD red label for a third of the price back at hometown. Cheers!
Duty Free King Power in the airport is more expensive than duty free in European airports now.And all the rest of the merchandise is sold as a bargain, but is not. They make the customer believe that are buying duty free, and they are maybe, but the starting price is so high, the deduction of the duty make the finished price, more than buying and paying duty elsewhere.Don’t fall for it.
Smallish outlet of duty free items in sukhumvit road, probably the best for high end watches and cosmetics (due to variety, not necessarily prices). Clothes selection is rather poor. Bought Items to pick up at the airport. All in all, not really a good place for shipping for Europeans or Americans, better deals await at home.
We arrived at the King Power outlet at 10am and we were unaware that it only officially opens at 11am. The security guard at the entrance road to the property demanded: 1. Where are you going? and then stated 2. Look at sign (opening times) and simply pointed in a dismissive manner. May I suggest that the management inform their security team staff that a more appropriate customer friendly response would have been to smile at the potential customer and say in Thai language: ‘So sorry Sir/Madam but we are not yet open. The store only opens at 11am.First impressions still count!
