Shallow water in the afternoon, not for swimmers. Sandy beach, relaxed atmosphere, not crowded. Good with children.

As all ko chang beaches poor , very small and rocky areas With mangove swamp feel about it. Even at the expensive mercure hideaway., good restaurant over waters edge 50 bht beer 100 baht mains dishes .nice views to sea .
When the tide is in the beach is tiny – tide out can’t swim as too rocky to get out to open water ?????????☹️☹️☹️
The ecosystem of hotels and restaurants around this beach is terrific. the beach itself is clean and the water are very calm. but the water, in contrast to the other beaches of Koh Chang are quite dirty.
I prefer long beaches.What can I do?I love strolling along at sunrise or even better at sunset.Actually sunrise is the right time for a jog, but only if you can of course.Anyway a 5 minute walk at sunset is kind of FOM in Ko chang.Bottom Line, Bailan Beach is just average when you compare it to the other options in Ko Chang.
On Ko Chang West Coast, there are a number of beaches. Of course, the most famous is White Sand Beach because of its activities day and night. The fact is that, all Beaches are not great for swimming, no matter is water quality nor accessibility. However, you can explore some real good spot for Sunset. This is the best spot.
