Watching the bare back riders race these wonderful animals is an experience of a lifetime! Do your research – and if you are in the area on the day of the races, book yourself a driver and go!! The parade, festival, friendliness of everyone there was incredible. We don’t speak Thai – but had no problems navigating and figuring out where we should be and when! It was incredible!
This is truly a unique event that has been happening for over a hundred years. Unfortunately like all event in Thailand the amplified speaker system and dismissal of peoples comfort makes it unbearable in a short amount of time.
