  1. The venue is located near the Chaweng Lake. Parking is possible on their own parking area in front of the main entrance. They have four different sitting areas. Thai; for Thai only, standard, ring side and VIP: We had standard which was totally sufficient, the view was perfect. We watched eight fights with fight five being the main fight. We watched two knock-outs. The ambience is cool with all the fans making a lot of cheering.

  2. When arriving in Ko Samui, we saw everywhere advertisement related to the upcoming anniversary fights (it appears that there are fights in this stadium every Saturday). My soon asked if we could go and we ended up buying a “ring side ticket” for 2500 TBHT each (regular tickets cost 700 TBHT).The ticket was worth every penny. The stadium was filled with ~60 % foreigners and there is a Thai only section on one side of the ring (which adds great flavor, as they get very excited and obviously know some of the fighters for quite some time). We have seen 8 fights, starting with very young, 16 year old boys, who basically introduced us to the rules and the tradition (the fights are accompanied by Muay Thai Music and each round starts with moves, similar to a dance). The fights then became very intense (we saw 5 K.O.s) and it seems that even straight 12-6 elbow strokes are allowed. But all fighters celebrated later jointly the event and all spectators could join them in their locker room (next to the regular bathrooms) and take Fotos with them. This was my first live boxing event and definitely not my last. Everyone being in Ko Samui should go!!

  3. I have been to several Muay Thai stadiums across Thailand over the years and would say this one has the best atmosphere of any, on the night I visited. The fights, 6 in total were all fantastic and entertaining. Although the stadiums was not full, it was still exciting and a decent night out. However there were a few negatives as follows.1. The price is outrageous. An adult ticket was 1200 Baht (Cheap seats) and even my 12 year old son was considered an adult. If you want ring side you are going to pay several hundred Baht more, and even more again for comfortable couches. Thai people get in for free, so it seems Westerner pay for the locals admission as well. This will turn Westerners away. I don’t mind paying, but for this price my Muay Thai days may be at an end.2. No admittance with outside food or drinks. My food (pack of chips and a large bottle of water) was ‘cloaked’ for pick up at the end. I understand some might try to bring in outside alcoholic drinks and the venue wants to discourage that, but water? Seems silly when it’s hot and humid outside and hotter inside. It is yet another way to squeeze Westerners for money as a bottle of water inside was 50 Baht. An absolute rip off ( Same water 5 Baht at 7-11)3. The constant badgering by staff for guests to buy drinks. Every stop in the action, a local came buy trying to get viewers to buy another overpriced beverage. 4. The go slow. Fight’s started at 2100 and although there were only 6 fights scheduled on a Saturday night, they dragged out the breaks between fights and had long introductions and a pointless intermission. Finished at midnight!

  4. Location very goodPlace very nice, professional and well organizedbut matches and show very low quality, especially those who were supposed to bring some good atmosphere making only noise and dancing like stupid people!!If you like and know what muay thai is, avoid this place!

  5. This is popular national sport. If you’re wondering what to do in Koh Samui and you want to experience something a little different to the norm, go to the Chaweng Boxing Stadium for an interesting and unique experience. There’s always a fun and friendly atmosphere at these contests even though the sport itself is taken very seriously. On any evening you’ll usually see a variety of different levels including children and women. The prices vary and bear in mind that if it’s a quieter night you’re more likely to get a good deal on the tickets. There are general admission tickets as well as more expensive tickets that get you the best seat, and once you sit down you don’t even have to get up to order drinks as they’re brought right to you. Amazing

  6. We went day before to purchase tickets for fight night – bought four ringside – got there and they had only three! They sorted it out but definitely need to get there on time to be sure all is well organized . Once the action started good timeWas had by all

  7. Good venue and 6 good fights the night when we were there. Drinks were reasonable prices and fairly easy to get. We were impressed with the amount of security and felt safe and it was nice to be able to sit and watch the fights in a completely Smoke Free arena which is unlike some of the other local venue.
