First stop ✋ in active day, just less than hour drive from Chang Mai downtown with neighbour to other attractions like elephant 🐘 sanctuary, elephant poo 💩 paper 📝 or tiger 🐯 place. Small place with nice 👍 garden few of different type of orchids, there is butterfly 🦋 farm as well. If you want to stay longer one hour is just enough with option to eat or have coffee ☕️ eventually buying souvenirs
We visited Orhid farm on the way back to hotel from our another day trip so we stayed only 30 min. It was lovely visit. For me it was very interesting to see how growing up orchids. You can buy real flower jewelry.
Beautiful butterflies and orchids. It’s small with a coffee shop and nice restrooms on the way to elephant and other adventures that take you out of the main town so it’s a great place to stop for 20-30min. I wouldn’t go out of the town just to see this place though.
The farm is right next to Tiger Kingdom, so a low investment stop when touring the area. The gardens are beautiful and so are the butterflies. It’s a nice stop to snap a few good pictures.
We stopped here for lunch as part of a tour of northern Thailand. The lunch was really good. The orchids are simply beautiful and absolutely loved walking around the butterfly enclosure and seeing the different types of butterfly.
The orchids are beautiful in every color! The butterflies were also examples of nature’s art. I only wish there were more varieties of butterflies here. Definitely enjoyed this easy outing from Chiang Mai. (There are several more options for site seeing near this farm’s location.)
On our way back to Chiang Mai from Pai, we decided to revisit the Bai Orchid and Butterfly farm. We first had a light meal at the adjacent Café which was quite pleasant. We were asked to pay an additional 40 bahts each to visit the Orchid farm. The butterfly section was closed and the orchid section was a letdown. Several of the plant rows had no flower at all whereas in a previous visit all rows were full of beautiful and colorful flowers. We assume this was due to the COVID 19 Pandemic as we were the only visitors.
No butterflies and a few orchids! Just a big buffet restaurant.You pay 40 TBH. 5 minute stay is enough. Not really worth paying for or travel time.
Nice place to while away an hour or so, disappointed that certain people felt it ok to pick up the butterflies by their wings and hold them so their kids picked them up to run around with.nobody seemed bothered but seems a lack of education . A certain death sentence for these beautiful insects.
What an amazing place Such a quiet and peaceful perfect place We were so lucky to get a table here for lunch , as limited seating .Incredible amount of beautiful rare butterflies and flowers Such impressive orchid gardens that you can wander around for hours in .A real Gem in the countryside to visit for all , a Must visit .
