The perfect beach in my opinion: secluded, beautiful sand, cool waters, quiet in the entire bay as we were the only tourists there (only one other couple showed up as we were leaving). No restaurants there, but some locals sold chicken nuggets, sodas and some icecream, which was enough to grab a bite while staying. For me it was the best beach on tje island due to tje quietness and views offered. We got there by scooter (10 min ride from the main pier of the island).
Go at high tide. Narrow beach at high tide but good shade. Some local vendors selling refreshments. Toilets ok. Eat at the sea breeze restaurant! Great food great service great value.
it is the place for relax. There are no people, you can be alone and do good swiming. There is no snorkeling
Nice to take a stroll away from the resort and walk along the beach. Lovely and sandy though sea not too clear but makes up for it by being so warm. A few places to get a drink along the way.
We came across this when driving around the island. Took a turn for sea breeze restaurant and had the most amazing day on the most beautiful beach we had ever seen….just the 2 of us. We had ice coffees and coconuts. We later had a beautiful lunch, really good Thai food. Staff were so friendly even when we had trouble we our scooter leaving they came straight away & helped. Would recommend everyone to go here when in koh yao yai
Litter has spoilt this pristine beach. Ferral Cats with lice all over. Not able to swim. Really gross
This is one of the nicer and quieter beaches on the island. Like most of them, you need to go at high tide if you want to swim, but like most of them, the rubbish issue is out of control. This part of Phan Nga Bay gets most of the rubbish and pollution from places like the Phuket and other parts of the bay, so swimming is probably best done in your resort pool.
We hired a scooter and rode here. There are the sad overgrown remains of previous bars/cafes which didn’t survive covid at the back of the beach. It’s very quiet with just a man selling fresh coconuts so make sure you bring plenty of water/drinks. Lots of cats where you park too, if you bring them some cat biscuits they will be very happy. We walked down to the mangroves and watched the crabs and bird life from a shady spot on the shore whilst sipping from our fresh coconut, it was a lovely spot.
We hired scooters and headed round to this Bay in the north from the south. We were staying at Santhiya resort and could see it across the big bay. The water here was not clear but we were so hot and enjoyed a dip anyway. As mentioned in other posts there were a lot of cats but I like cats and they seemed in good health to me. There was a derelict structure here. Nobody was selling drinks or food.
Lovely quiet beach, lots of crabs! Need to check the tides as at low tide, it’s too shallow to swim. There are toilets on the beach and a small vendor selling drinks and snacks, but not much else.
