Simply brilliant. I was keen to do an activity with the elephants whilst in Thailand but wanted to ensure it was a ‘kind’ experience for the animals rather than some of the tourist attractions that are out there. The elephants seem very well cared for and they explained they come into the sanctuary during the day time and go back into the forest each evening. We booked a private experience which included giving the elephants breakfast, a mud bath and then a hose down and scrub. Our 2 boys, ages 7 and 11 were blown away; being so close to their favourite animal, it’s definitely something we won’t forget. Whilst there we also had a Thai cookery lesson, making a traditional Thai dessert and spring roles. Again another experience we won’t forget and I’m so glad we booked it. We had a lovely lunch of Pad Thai and our culinary masterpieces which were delicious. To finish the experience we were taken to a local village and my eldest helped pick a coconut from the tree, before a villager prepared a coconut drink for us. We then took our coconuts to an incredible beach to enjoy whilst sitting on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world before being dropped back at our resort.
This is a great place. The elephants appear to be very well cared for here and seem genuinely happy to be pampered now that they have been given sanctuary. Highly recommend!
This was an AMAZING day out. We got to meet the two elephants up close and personal. The owners and workers were very friendly and knowledgable and they are doing great things here to look after these beautiful animals. You get to wash and feed the elephants which is a great experience. I would 100% recommend for anyone wanting something to do on the island.
Very good experience with elefants. Very kind people. We laughed a lot with the people very nice and funny. Good food. Thank you
We spent an amazing few hours with the elephants learning about them and feeding and washing them. What a wonderful few hours, the staff actually care and I was left with so much love from this.
