  1. This is a small beach. From the main road, one had to take one 4 wheel driven vehicle, the transportation charge had to be paid to the owner of the eatery there on arrival. During return, they have arrangement of dropping back at no extra cost. That means return fare is paid upfront. When we visited it had got vey few visitors. The beach is small but if want some calmness away from the bustles and hustles of other commercial beaches of Phuket, then its worth visiting. We stayed there for 3 – 4 hours and it was worth the visit. Eatery serves basic food mainly Thai cuisine at a reasonable price.

  2. Do not.come to this place! You will be charged for everything you need! Monkey in the chain and horrible staff! Scams!

  3. The chained up monkey tells you everything you need to know about this place. The day we visited, a girl fell out of a plastic bathtub onto rocks about 4 metres below. She was stretchered out. Within minutes we watched staff put the bathtub upright again for others to have their photo in. I couldn’t believe it & felt very uncomfortable being there. The owners attitude to negative reviews on Google is also shocking.

  4. Attention: scammers. All beaches in Phuket are legally public and none beach can be private. What they do on this beach: they made private short stripe of land around the beach and let you go through only for some money. So the beach is public, but effectively they would not let you go unless you pay. I am reporting this case to the local municipality.P.S.there is no other route coming to this beach by land.In case your land blocks access to any public place you have to provide at least one tiny pass allowing free access to the place, otherwise it is effectively a public place that is surrounded and restricted by you.Google more details by keywords: ‘Right of Way’ or ‘Easement’.

  5. Nui Beach is a truly bizarre place. It’s like the Swiss Family Robinson meets an Instagram influencer playground. We picked Nui beach as a hike destination without really knowing what we would find at the end. It was a small and very crowded beach primarily full of chairs you had to pay for without much other room to lay a towel. There is food available for purchase along with a bar and many set ups for the “perfect instagram photo” which is probably just what some folks are looking for, but it was just not my style. There was also a sad monkey being kept on a leash and you have to pay 100 baht to access the beach. Though the cove is very pretty and the water delightful, overall it was questionable and not worth it to me. People should also know the beach is really challenging to access (very steep uneven dirt roads) by car or moped.

  6. It is not worth $200B!The beach is small and private, and also fairly crowded most of the time. There are so many beautiful public beaches in Phuket even though some are fully packed most of a year. Why bother? The transit by their truck from the top of hill to the beach at the bottom is really scary and certainly not safe. We were looking for a a bit quieter place than Patong beach, and alike, and ended up there. It is shocking that the owner can get away charging $200B each person. A monkey was tied to a pole on a leash to its neck there, and to be allowed to interact with the clients. We do not know what to make out of it, cruel to us.If anybody who has what we hoped to experience in mind, you will be so disappointed!!!

  7. From the pictures seen on internet it seemed like a beautiful beach. But we were not enough informed. When you leave the main road you arrive on a clay roadway where some guys tell you you cannot go down with your scooter so you either have to take an ATV or get in their 4×4 with fees. From the map it didn’t seem to far so we decided walking but wrong idea ! It’s far and steep. Some did get down their with their scooter but I wouldn’t try for peace of mind.Once you finally arrive at the beach, they ask you for entrance fees (100 baths/pers for us at 5pm). The place looked nice and you can get nice pictures with all their équipements but that’s about it. The beach is small, the water was really dirty with all kind of plastic coming to shore… oh and you also have to pay for a chair and sunshade. I get it, it’s nice for the bars, the music, the wifi, all the decor. But other beaches are so much better (and free of access). Would largely recommend any other beaches if the purpose is to enjoy the beach and water; this one is good for instagram photo shoot though.

  8. Gorgeous spot! We took a taxi to the place where you then take a 4×4 (or rent an ATV). It was 200 per person for the drive to the beach and access. It’s a rough longish road, and the beach area is quite nice. Not lots of shade but you can rent chairs and umbrellas or hang out at one of the restaurant/bars. There’s a fresh water shower, too. Water was too rough to swim in, but still had a really lovely day!

  9. Nui Beach is a pretty little beach with nice bars and we originally had a splendid day over there. The staff were nice and the food was good. Unfortunately we ended the day with the idea of having a little ride with jetskis. I have been coming for 15 years in Thailand and I had heard about this scam very often, especially in places like Pa Tong but I thought this wouldn’t happen in this remote little and peacefull beach. Me and my girlfriend both rented one and were extra carefull during the whole ride to keep a safe distance during our ride. After returning the jetskis they pointed out a crack on my girlfriends jetski that we didn’t notice as the crack was under the waterline when we got on the jetskis. They ripped us off for 4000 THB saying the jetski would be unusable for the rest of the day. We pretented to leave after that and sat down a bit further, to obserbe them for a while and as soon as they thought we left the jetski was promptly put back in the water and rented out to the next customer. I then went back to the grifter with the idea to break his jaw but thankfully he agreed to give me half of my money back, had he not, he would have had to eat from a straw for a little while. It is a pitty that these dishonest little vermins act in such a way on such a nice place. This is bad publicity for Nui Beach and it tarnishes the image of Thailand, and the amasing and hard working honest Thai people. I therefore really recommend people to avoid this place. Go somewhere else where scammers are not allowed.

  10. Be carefull! Someone stoled my gant t-shirt from the sunbed and the sea was full of jellyfish. Nobody was in the sea. Bad trip 😬

  11. Soo sad, this was a great and wounderful place a couple of years ago… Now its crowded and full off weed smokers, and a tourist circus. Nothing I would recommend.

  12. The perception that this is a secluded beach which is a great romantic get away. We are a 50 plus couple who still considers themselves very active but this trip was a bit too much. From the back breaking ride in the back of a pick up truck to steps to be climbed to visit the toilet, I would advise anyone who had the slightest mobility or back issues to avoid this place. Lovely to look at, but the aches the next day is more than the memory is worth.
