  1. I found the remarks very interesting-the fact that on one review it was considered undiscovered-sorry but we were there in 1987 and to be frank it had already been discovered-lovely location and the access road sounds the same as it was back then-you used to walk under the Phuket Yacht Club along the coast rd-there was a rustic restaurant called” on the rocks”.The Jungle Beach Resort was run by a retired Army man who was so much fun-we spent Christmas Day and New Years Eve as part of the week we stayed there.Private beach back then I believe. We payed 10 pounds a night which was not cheap for the period-but we returned 2 years later to find a German company had control and the price had leaped to 100 pounds per night. There are no photos of the accommodation on this site but it may have gone backwards since then.Still a great area to explore though.

  2. this is one of the best snorkeling I was able to find. Lots of small fish and larger ones as well, Octapuse. squid, urchans all right there. Can be dove by anyone from first time snorkelers to prose. children to adults as you can see everything in about 2inches to 10 feet in depth. Good food right across the road from the beach. no beach chairs though.

  3. The water hitting the rocks is great – nice nearby place for a cold beer while overlooking the water crashing on the rocks

  4. I came here to snorkel but ended up being a little disappointed because of the amount of broken glass on the beach. Maybe I was just unlucky the day I visited but I really had to be careful walking along the shoreline and I was forever picking up sharp pieces of green and brown glass and putting them out of harm’s way. Snorkelling was ok but visibility wasn’t great because it was a windy day so lots of sand particles. As other people have mentioned, this is coarse sand and the beach slopes downwards quite quickly. Much preferred Yanui beach.

  5. Small secluded cove that has some nice corals and a variety of fish. Perfect for snorkeling. Sometimes can rent snorkeling gear. Restaurant is usually open. good food and drink.

  6. Of all the snorkelling trips I did whilst staying inPhuket the water off this beach was the best. Rocky, coral reef water was rich with fish.

  7. Great place for snorkeling. A very small stretch of beach. However, the waves are rather strong. The beach is rocky and the sand is rough. There was quite a lot of jellyfish when we were there.

  8. Great beach for snorkeling. Reclining chairs can be rented for 100 BHT for a whole day. Shower available for 20 BHT, toilet for 10 BHT.

  9. Sadly one of my favourite beaches is no more. All the wooden shacks have been demolished and they are building a new hotel/condo!!
