Great experience, very friendly staff, clear explanation before entering the water, 2 divers accompanied us during our dive initiation, constantly checking how we were doing. Great boat with good facilities and nice lunch. Strongly recommended!
I undertook and completed a 3 day SSI Open Water Diving Course with Alla at their Kata Road location for 12,000 Baht. First day was a half day training at their swimming pool in Kata (830am to 1pm), second and third days were full open water dive days (730am hotel pickup and 5pm hotel drop off). You’ll also have to complete some online study and tests beforehand, which I finished in about half a day. Breakfast, lunch and snacks were catered on dive days. Food was decent but not gourmet. We docked at Racha Noi and Racha Yai for lunch and you couldn’t ask for better views. Alla was lovely and I felt well taken care of during the lessons and dives. She also took great photos and videos, which I purchased for an additional 1,500 Baht. My only reservation would be for non-native/ESL English speakers. Communication might be a little challenging for you as Alla had quite a strong Ukranian accent. I personally didn’t have much of a problem. All in all, I had a wonderful time and would strongly recommend Phuket Dive Tours to most anyone.
I did the 3 days open water diver course. I had an incredible time learning to dive with Alla. She taught me everything I needed with patience and professionalism, making me feel confident and safe underwater. The dives were unforgettable – swimming with sharks and turtles was a dream come true! Alla knew all the best spots and made every moment an adventure. Highly recommend for anyone looking to dive!
Did the open water diver course and it turned out to be a great experience! My instructor, Alla, was very patient and vastly skilled.Got to experience the unique aquatic wildlife offered by Racha Noi/Yai and Phi Phi islands.

I did the 6 dive 3 day open water certification course. This gives you the SSI open water license to dive down to 18m! First day is a half day trajning session in the pool, the next two days you go out to Racha noi and Racha Yai for amazing dives! After practicing skills a bit you have the freedom to explore nature & ship wrecks in the environment.I felt comfortable at all times with my instructor Alla and learned very fast. She is super sharp too, and noticed all kinds of special animals like stonefish, small shrimp and hidden eels. We got lucky and swam with sea turtles too!I had a great time and would definitely recommend doing your license with them 🙂
The reviews are correct for this one! Fantastic tour from pickup to drop off.. what made it so special was small group size in a large boat. The guides were safety conscious yet catered to various skill levels. The photographer/guide was available to take amazing pictures and videos (well worth the extra tip). Saw lots of nemos and other colorful little and medium size fish. The coral is alive and vibrant. The guide even shared some free diving tips that helped. It was my second time playing this activity. Not feasible for me, living in Canada. It may cost a tad more than other crowed tours, but think about what’s more important!
Diving was amazing, my dive guide P Mod was very helpful and have big knowledge about underwater world. Very big recommendation for that company.
My wife and friend had no scuba experience but both thoroughly enjoyed it. I was especially grateful to our guide Gan who really helped my wife, who is not a good swimmer, feel very comfortable with scuba techniques. Gan took the time to help my wife grasp the basics in the pool before going into the ocean where she paid special attention to my wife making sure she felt safe the whole time. Once in the ocean Gan showed us a lot more than what we saw in the pictures posted online. She pointed out all the interesting animals along the reef, it was a great experience.
This was my first experience with scuba diving, and unfortunately, my 3-Day Open Water Course with Victor from Phuket Dive Tours was highly disappointing.Firstly, Victor’s communication was unclear, and his English proficiency made it difficult to understand instructions. He provided minimal explanations of the steps involved and often mumbled to himself without ensuring we understood. There was no confirmation that I was performing tasks correctly, which left me feeling uncertain and unsafe throughout the course.When I asked questions, Victor appeared inattentive and dismissive, failing to provide clear guidance. His approach seemed rushed, and he appeared more focused on completing the session quickly rather than ensuring I felt confident. For instance, he did not thoroughly check the equipment before pool practice, or if he did, it was done from a distance. This led to issues with my tank, which he attributed to my inexperience rather than addressing the problem directly.I also struggled with sinking during the dive and sought his assistance multiple times. Instead of offering helpful suggestions, he repeatedly told me to “just do it” without further explanation or support. This rushed approach caused me stress and made it harder to control my breathing, adding to my fear and discomfort. I expected the instructor to guide me patiently, ensure proper weighting, and teach me how to breathe effectively without rushing the process, but that was not the case.Additionally, Victor’s attitude was unprofessional and disrespectful. He often made inappropriate jokes, boasted about himself, and failed to create an environment of trust and respect.In conclusion, the instruction was unclear, rushed, and left me feeling unsafe. Many of my questions went unanswered, and I ultimately decided to cancel the boat dive as I did not feel confident proceeding under Victor’s guidance.This experience has taught me the importance of choosing a qualified instructor for first-time diving and carefully reviewing a company’s policies before booking. Diving should be a safe and enjoyable experience, and not all operators provide the same level of professionalism or flexibility.

Loved the snorkeling trip we went on today, comfortable up to date boat and equipment, not too many people so not crowded at all. Crew was fantastic, all of them were friendly and very experienced. Our group leader was Mark and he was the best, I highly recommend him and this company. We snorkeled at three different places and lunch was delicious. Very experienced boat captain who handled the choppy seas so well. Hope to go again soon!
A truly wonderful day out on the water. The trip was organised and easy – no stress!We just went with the snorkelling option and the visibility was brilliant and Mark showed us where to go and what to look for. Lunch was great and followed by one more dip in the ocean to swim with the fishes again!
