  1. We had an amazing time cooking with Poo, such an inspiring lady helping her community through this fantastic business, we learned so much about the local culture, you start off in the market picking your fresh produce which in itself was a great experience, then we go to Poo’s kitchen and that’s when the fun begins, you must try I highly recommend, thanks Poo and friends .

  2. Amazing experience a must to do when visiting Bangkok! Poo is an amazing lady and is a very good host. The markets were so interesting and the cooking was well organised and the finished product was brilliant. Poo helps her neighbours and community by her business success. Great experience thank you !

  3. Just brilliant! From start to finish the experience ran so smoothly. The wet markets was so interesting and I couldn’t belive the size of it.The kitchen setup was fantastic. Poo demonstrated how to cook each dish then we all had our turn. Her staff worked like a well oiled machine getting everything set up & cleared away between each dish. There was so much food we packed half if ours up in takeaway containers & it fed us for dinner.I cannot rave enough about this experience.

  4. Really interesting Market tour and then nice cooking experience with chef Poo and her team in their cosy setting, they were happy to answer any questions the group had. Very glad.

  5. This was a great way to spend a morning in BKK. It’s a quick paced class with constant activity however the staff is ? there for what you need.

  6. I was invited to join several friends who signed up for this class and I wasn’t sure what to expect. However the whole experience was amazing and I highly recommend it. We met Poo at the designated stop, which was easy to get to. There was a dozen in the group, and from there we went in their van for 10 minute ride to the food market. There we split up into 2 groups to go through the market, one with Poo and one with her helpers. Poo took us through the market explaining and buying various fruits and vegetables that would be used later in the class. It’s a fast paced experience and you definitely want to have on good shoes as it’s a “wet” market. After loading up the van we took another 5 minute ride close to their cooking classroom. It’s a short walk through a traditional set of Thai homes and the classroom is basically a converted home. While the classroom is not large it was comfortable for the whole group to site while Poo and her staff quickly prepared things to start the class. The room has AC and a clean toilet and drinks are available. Poo then started the class. She would show us how to prepare a dish and then divide up into groups to take turns repeating the steps at the front on a large long kitchen table, after which we would eat our dish and repeat the steps. Everything was very well explained and organized with almost military precision and efficiency. The dishes we did today was Som Tum Green Papaya Salad, Tom Yum Soup with Prawns, and Phad Thai Noodle. All were delicious. As a bonus at the end she had a large selection of fruits for us to sample, with descriptions of each, plus Mango sticky rice, my favorite. Overall it was a most enjoyable experience and I highly recommend it. Only very minor complaint was going through the market, Poo would start explaining about each food before everyone caught up, making it hard to get all the good information. Please try to wait a couple seconds for everyone in the group to catch up. Thank you!

  7. Amazing cooking class and very well organized knowledgeable and helpful. Showed you how to make each dish and helped coach you how to make each dish. Amazing experience possibly best part of my trip to Bangkok.

  8. Had a brilliant morning visiting the market, cooking and eating with Poo! This was fun, informative and we learnt a lot about Thai cooking, in particular Tom Yum Gai, Gai Ga Teum, Larb Bet and Khao Niao Mamuang. The Thai Dessert Tasting was also super interesting not least in getting to taste some 15 different fruits. Thanks Poo and your army of helpers and washer uppers!

  9. My wife and I were picked up by Poo and her team on time and at the designated pick-up point. Poo and the team were very friendly and accommodating. They took us to the Klong Toey wet market for a tour where Poo and her teammate walked us through the food stalls and explained and picked up the local Thai produce that we would need for her cooking class. After the tour, Poo and her teammate took us to her cooking site where we washed up and started the cooking class for her “Friday-Menu 5” course. Poo gave us easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions, and ingredient lists for what we made during the day. The cooked food was delicious, and we got to try a wide variety of local fruits for dessert. We discovered that Poo gives charity to her local community through the funds that she raises through her classes, and we were happy to support her in her endeavor to give back to her community. Poo has a warm personality and is beaming with joy and her enthusiasm for cooking is contagious. On our next trip to Bangkok we will be taking another one of Poo’s Thai cooking classes. We enjoyed cooking with Poo!

  10. This was simply a fantastic adventure. The tour through the market was both fun and educational. The cooking segment was spectacular. We love her style!

  11. A wonderful experience all the way through. The market tour was very informative and thorough. The cooking class was also educational and hands on. Poo was incredible and it was lovely to learn she and her family give 10% of revenue back to her community. Highly recommend this tour.

  12. We had a great time cooking with K. Poo and her team today! Booking was easy and everything was well-run. A van takes you to the local market, and K. Poo and her team give you a tour while purchasing fruits and vegetables (K. Poo’s husband goes to the market first thing in the morning to purchase meat at its freshest). Then you are taken to K. Poo’s home in the community where the bottom floor is a teaching kitchen. The instructions are clear and everything is shown and explained step-by-step. A lot of the prep and all of the clean-up is taken care of. The food was delicious and everyone was friendly and helpful. In addition, knowing that K. Poo supports her local community made us happy to spend the money not only on the cooking class, but also on her great merchandise. Highly recommend!

  13. What an authentic and genuine experience. Extremely well organized and such a great insight into Thai cuisine and culture. Poo and her team walked us through the market and explained so many things that we never even knew existed. The cooking class was very hands on and interactive. Highly recommend this for everyone!

  14. The time spent on this class/excursion was definitely worth it. You join your class in a central location and quickly drive to a large local wet market. There you break into smaller guided groups (for easy walking/talking) and learn all about your ingredients for the day. Next you go to Poo’s kitchen and get cooking. She and her team were terrific! After a few hours, we left very full, with some new skills and a better appreciation for the non-tourist side of Bangkok.DO: Wear shoes that are appropriate for an active wet market. It will be wet and slippery in places.DO: Openly ask to increase the spice level of your dishes if you like spicy. You will only be adding a few additional Thai chilis. If you are used to peppers like habaneros, goat peppers or scotch bonnets the Thai chilis are nothing to fear.

  15. We did this class together as a family of 5. Our children are 17, 14 and 11 years. We really enjoyed the experience- learning Thai culture and cooking. Very hands on and interactive. It was a highlight of our trip. Poo lights up any room and makes the whole experience lively and fun!!

  16. Very authentic, professional, business from the heart. Pop and her team take you to the market with all the sights and smells of Bangkok then back to her kitchen for a presentation and hands on cooking

  17. This cooking class had great reviews and after taking Poo’s cooking class I can see they are well deserved. Pick up was smooth and on time. Walk through the market was amazing! Glad to have that as a part of the day. Class was 12 people and she and people who worked with her were so well organized. We made four dishes and my partner and I could not eat all the food! She also had many fruits in bowls that we all could have a taste of! Loved that. Knew many but some were new. She had take away containers and we had leftovers for dinner at our hotel. Loved walking to her place and through the interesting area. Inspirational woman and a great leader and cook. Take this class! Enjoy!

  18. Well organised from start to finish. Poo and the team made Thai cooking seem easy! A most enjoyable activity during our Bangkok trip.

  19. We had a great time. Learned a lot and the market trip was eye opening. Highly recommend everyone to go. They even had gluten free options so I could eat what I cooked.
