  1. We visited the Kanjana Elephant Sanctuary with our 8 and 10 year old grandchildren. We began by changing into other attire familiar to the elephants. We then attended a discussion on the differences between African and Asian elephants and learned several Thai words to say to the elephants. Afterwards, we cut up pumpkins to feed the elephants for a snack! They consume over 200 kilos of food per day! We then walked over to where the elephants we kept and fed them their snacks! Afterwards, we walked to the river and washed them while they lolled around in the river. The Sanctuary provided showers and lunch afterwards. We spent a half day there and had a great time!

  2. Had a car & driver and ventured out to this elephant sanctuary. It did not disappoint. Wonderful time feeding the elephants and washing them. Young adult children were w me. A must see / do

  3. We were introduced to this sanctuary by our driver, and there wasn’t much information on Trip Advisor about it, so I was a bit leery. I was pleasantly surprised though! Lunch was delicious- fresh chicken tenders, salad, fruit, rice and noodles…perfect for picky eaters. Our group of five was given our own private intro to the elephants, we chopped squashes with machetes and hand fed the elephants. The trainers made sure that those who were brave and wanted elephant contact (my 7 year old and my college student) got lots of elephant love and attention. My shy preschooler and mother and law were able to hang back at a distance and watch. By the time we walked to the river to bathe the elephants my preschooler joined the fun. It was a lovely day for the whole family.

  4. It was such an amazing expirence, I saw no animals chained or mistreated, they seem happy and twin care of, it’s run by a local Thai family. We will do it all over again.

  5. My husband and I were taken here by a driver. We were ignorant enough not to ask for the name of the place beforehand. When we arrived we were asked to change into other clothes and then given a really awkward orientation. It felt odd and something was odd. Other people arrived after ours was finished, so they let us walk around. I could see a baby elephant from where I was so I told my husband to get closer with me. The baby was clearly chained to a post with spikes at the top. It was traumatizing and I asked my husband to get us out of there. As soon as we got close to the curtain separating us from the elephants they freaked out on us. “Get away from there you will scare the elephants.” If you care for animals at all do not support this business. Feel free to message me for more questions.

  6. This was an amazing experience. Bobby the owner is very nice & friendly. He gave us the insight history of the elephants, how they were rescued and are living a happy life at Kanjana Elephant Sanctuary. Clothes was provided to us to change, we got to feed the elephants with bananas & sugarcane, after-that we headed to the river to bath and swim with the elephants. They don’t use any chains, hooks or any sort of these things, it’s a very ethical sanctuary. They use voice command and elephants they just understand it, very amazing. We highly recommend to visit this sanctuary.

  7. Unbelievable place. Bobby is such a caring knowledgeable guy. We visited in Jan 2020 and will be heading back there this year
