  1. The tour it is a 1 day tour and it is mainly in chiang rai, so it means a long driving, if you dont want that, go to chiang rai and get the tour from there. The only problems I had was that I contracted the tour with one agency and as, usual the tour was run by another one, it is how it works in chiang mai, they join people from several agencies, the problem was that I was staying in chiang rai instead of coming back to chiangeve mai, , so I avoided the 3 hours driving back, so the agencie charged me another 200 thb for an exyra seat on the van for my back pack because I had a big backpack, but there was no seat for my backpack. The tour on itself was good, the tour guide was MuMu!!!! as somebody else said she is lovely. We went to every place, hotsprings, just an stopover for not being 2 hours seated in the van, the white twmple very good, is not the vatican but is very beautiful building, the mekong river was nice just a tourist atraction, but is is not about what is more spectacular, is about see how people live, we been in those long neck villages etc which I would rexomend to do something else than a picture with them, they are not a circus elephant. The best the tour guide MuMu, very bubbly.

  2. We booked through a local agency in Chiang Mai for the Chiang Rai, White Temple and Golden Triangle tour and we got all of that. Wasn’t our first choice but we ended up having a great day with our guide Mumu and the food stops along the way were great. Packed lots into the day, very typical tourist day but Mumu made it fun and taught us lots about the area which we really appreciated and enjoyed.

  3. This tour was so terrible. We booked it through an agency in Chiang Mai and was told everything was included when we were booking and it seemed like a good deal. First off it’s a 4 hour drive to see the white temple which you only get to see for 40 minutes, it’s absolutely packed with tourists being herded in and out of the temple. Then after lunch we were told that our tour didn’t involve the boat trip to Loas or visiting the long neck tribe and that it would cost extra. We decided not to do either because we were frustrated that we already paid so much and were told that it would be included. So we ended up having to sit around and wait for over 2 and a half hours while the others in the group did the extra activities, and then a 4 hour bus ride home. Everything was dissappointing and not knowing that it wasn’t all included half way through the tour left us stranded for the whole day when all we wanted was to go back to Chiang Mai.

  4. Went on the Doi Inthanon tour with guide Rennie? and Driver Mr Jackie. Both were very good the tour ran so smoothly. Rennie was well organised and a clear communicator about times and meeting points with interesting information and could answer questions. The vehicle and driving were extremely comfortable. The timing was good the activities varied(White Karen, Doi Inthanon highest point, two waterfalls, pagodas, lunch and Hmong market)….pick up and drop off, even got a free bottle of water! Very good value for money highly recommended I would take a tour with this company again for sure!

  5. We were on a tour with MuMu and she was great! She was very friendly, lively, and funny! We enjoyed our tour and highly recommend MuMu!

  6. I booked a one day excursion to the national park Doi Inthanon via a local agency and it was Amporn tours who turned up to take me. I am a solo traveller and wanted to get out to visit places and this was a great way to do it.Renee was our guide for the day and she was great. Able to answer any questions we may have and tell us interesting facts. The national park is vast so we could only see so much. The park was about and hour and a half bus ride out of Chiang Mai but don’t worry the bus is air conditioned! The tour included visits to two water falls which were beautiful and not too busy. We also visited a Karen tribe. The national park is home to four Karen tribes including the long neck tribe. I had heard negative things about these and how they are forced into keeping the traditions going. Luckily we went to the white Karen tribe who were weavers. Yes this is a bit of a tourist thing, they weave and it takes them three days to make a scarf ( not sure I believed it as didn’t see much weaving) but it was an opportunity to see a local villageWe also visited the highest point in Thailand which ironically is surrounded by trees so can’t see for miles, two stunning pagodas had a lunch stop ( Thai set menu provided ) and then a small local market. All in all i really enjoyed this tour and would recommend to others. Renee was a great host and I felt like I had crammed so much into one day. Helpful hint, a bottle of water is provided after one of the waterfalls but the journey there is long so take one with you on the bus

  7. Had a great day out with Amporn Visited hot spring, the spectacular Whiye Temple in Chiang Rai & a mountain village to see some hill tribes, inc the Long NeckTravelled up to The Golden Triangle where the borders of Thailand, Myanmar & Laos meet, then we took a boat trip on the Mekong RiverA long, but very interesting day out –highly recommended

  8. We took the day trip to Doi Inthanon, longing for a long calm day with FRESH air. For sure, we got some fresh air but for 80% of the trip we feared for our lives! The driver was a total maniac, speeding like crazy both up and down the mountain and in the city, overtaking dangerously, braking and accelerating hard and took no caution for bumps/holes on the road. Will give some cred to Tum (?) our guide, who did what he could with a group that weren’t to happy and most of us sick because of the driving. We also would have loved to spend some more time at the “King & Queen”, it was beautiful there! But with only 45 minutes we had to skip some parts.

  9. We were staying in Chiang Mai in early October close to the ping river when the worst flood in 100 years struck. The condo complex we were staying became cut off by flood waters. Water entered the lower floor and the lifts were turned off and later the electricity also cut. Along with 200 other guests and residents we waited 12 hours in the lobby before the Thai army arrived and evacuated us. During this time we had very little info about what was going on. VERY VERY VERY VERY STRESSFUL.A friend had recommended Eve as a great tour guide and I had her number. Having no other contacts in Chiang Mai I called her to seek help. Eve was FANTASTIC! She immediately organised alternative accomodation, advised us regarding options, gave us information about the flood and rescue efforts and checked in with us across the day. When we were eventually rescued we had a place to go to immediately that was close comfortable and dry. Organising new accomodation was something neither of us were in the space to do. I cannot thank Eve enough for the trouble she went to for us. There’s no other way to write a sincere glowing review, other than having gone through a terrible flood. Eve will have our business for life whenever we visit Chiang Mai, and I trust her. She is not only a great guide, but she embodies the best of a Chiang Mai local who extends her hand to help someone in distress.

  10. We were recommended this company by BED Nimman and so glad they did, we had wonderful tour of Doi Inthanon and surrounds. We had a fantastic day and our guide Pan was so helpful and knowledgeable. I really enjoyed chatting to Pan while he showed us around and is definitely one of the best tour guides we have ever had! Next time we come to Chiang Mai we will definitely book with AMPORN again!

  11. Today I took the Doi Inthanon day tour from Chaing Mai and had a very pleasant experience. The agent charged me 1300 Baht and it included everything. From apartment pick up to national park entry tickets , one bottle of water, delicious lunch and coffee and tea experience of 4 types. Guide Kwan did a splendid job by remembering names and making a personal equation with each guest. That was truly commendable in such a short span of few hours. Also she took great care of each guests comfort and needs. Kwan is an outstanding guide. This tour is memorable and I am carrying great memories with me.
