  1. I walked from Kho-san road to here, which I would not recommend unless you enjoy walking (which I do) as it is quite a distance and you can get lost easily. I had to ask for directions a few times, but I find that locals in Bangkok are generally nice. I enjoyed the museum for what is was, it is small, but the collection is quite varied. I purchased a small picture, as I was travelling light, it has pride of place next to my other travel bits and bobs. I would recommend visting and not to be put off by the location. I used a motorcycle taxi (40b) to take me to the nearest sky train station afterwards (my legs couldn’t take another hike) and the driver was friendly enough.

  2. Bangkok Dolls is a little hard to find but definitely worth the effort! It has a small museum which displays a variety of dolls dressed in native costumes. You can see the craftsmen working at the shop as well. We went to purchase a Christmas Nativity doll set after being recommended to the shop by a friend. The shop had an incomplete set on display but the owner promised to have one made and sent to us in the United States. The package arrived a week or so after our return to the US and the set was shipped very carefully. We are delighted with the Nativity set and our visit to Bangkok Dolls!

  3. The place is in a un friendly place, so take a taxi with the exacts address. It is also a small workshop and you can see how the are made. the display very nice and unique, very colorful. It takes about 40 min to see it.

  4. Really! Its little bit expensive but worth it. The dolls have good quality than other dolls i’ve ever seen in Thailand’s Market.

  5. Visited this place today. Very nice small gem full of beautiful dollrelated artifacts both from local artists and also dolls and figures from all around the world. It is a small place in an old very local neighborhood. We went by taxi, and fortunately i speak thai, as the taxi driver had no idea where this place was. It helps if you mention that it is in soi mo leng, as that makes it more recognisable for taxi drivers than the more official nsne of the street. I can imagine the neighbourhood used to be nicer, but it is kind of trapped inside expressways, making it hard to find. But its worth the effort if you like small museum type of shops.

  6. Go and have a look, collection of Thai Asian dolls, and a shop that sell genuine Thai hand made dolls, some are pretty beautiful .Now don’t cross the city for it … it could be a huge investment in time and you would be disappointed

  7. Hard to find, even Google Maps had difficulty with this place. Lots of dolls of many countries and styles. You can watch artisans making dolls near the entrance. Few food options nearby.

  8. This place is a bit hard to find. I took the BTS train to Phaya Thai station then a taxi to the owner’s house. The house-cum-museum is in a residential area and contains the doll collection of the owner’s mother, he also sells handmade dolls from his doll workshop which unfortunately closed due to the pandemic. The dolls are all handmade and very detailed, depicting figures from classical Thai literature and theatre, and the prices are very reasonable. Currently the place is open all day on Saturday and by appointment for the rest of the week. If you are a doll enthusiast/collector, this place is a must-visit!
