  1. (วัดหลวงขุนวิน) Wat Luang Khun Win is a hidden gem in the mountains a beautiful temple tucked away in the jungle, located in Mae Wang, Chiang Mai, Thailand.

  2. This temple is very unique – the Buddha statues are carved from wood. The temple is about 10km from the parking area where you can get a truck to go up the steep, narrow mountain roads (please do not attempt this with a normal passenger vehicle, you need a vehicle with good ground clearance and a manual transmission to handle the steep terrain – the last 5 km are more challenging). The ride from the parking area takes about 40 minutes.
