We took the James Bond Island tour but paid a small extra amount to go on the speed boat which also included a visit to and lunch at the Floating Village.We got a discount through our hotel and it was worth the money. A great, memorable day out. I recommend this tour.
Had a memorable day on the 4 island tour. We had lots of fun. Before starting we had been thinking it might be rushed tour with company going through the motion of showing one by one island. Glad we were so wrong. The trip is very engaging and we did multiple canoeing in a mesmerizing and picturesque nature. Also kudos the caring team who made you feel safe, fun and cared for. Main highlights :-1. Punctual pickup and drop off2. Good communication and managed throughout3. Fun, Flexible, Caring and Accommodating staff4. After reading some of the reviews for the different companies which run a tour of Phang Nga Bay, we were very happy we chose Phuket Panwa canoe.We booked the 4 island trip two days before going from a travel agent in Patong beach and paid 1700bhat each (we probably could of got it cheaper if we had bartered). We chose the speedboat tour and I would highly recommended this to anyone wanting to do this kind of tour. We had 18 people on our tour and there was plenty more room on the boat. The 4 staff on the boat were excellent – Mr smiling was a highlight for all the people on the tour with his constant joking and general good humour. As the speedboats are quicker than the big boats or longtails boats, we were able to have longer at all the ‘attractions’ and you aren’t sat on a boat in transit for most of the day.We were supplied with free soft drinks and fruit all day and enjoyed an excellent free lunch at Panyee gloating village (lots of food)Please don’t be conned into paying 3000+ baht for one of these tours from companies who claim to be ‘the best or the safest’. We had a thoroughly enjoyable day thanks to excellent staff who have lots of experience running these tours and who enjoy their jobs making sure their customers have a great experience!
I wanted to just see Phuket and the main surrounding islands but found that there wasn’t a trip that did just that, so I picked a day trip that I didn’t think a woman in her 70’s wouldn’t end up in the hospital doing. The speedboat/canoe trip was great and the only problem I seemed to have was getting my short legs up to the first stair on the boat each time we got off but the crew were always there to help. I had the time of my life that day and got to see and photograph some absolutely beautiful scenery, take a canoe into the lagoon, have a fabulous lunch and swim at a beautiful beach. If I can do it, believe me, anyone can and you’ll have the time of your life doing it.
My partner and I went with this cruise from a referral from a tour vendor. Couldn’t be happier. We were collected on time from our hotel via mini bus, driven to the pier, boarded the boat and briefed on the islands we were going to.After a couple of superb canoes into caves, we had a lunch prepared for us. Food was adequate. James Bond island is heavily populated with tourists and stalls selling trinkets. The last island we were allowed to swim in the ocean – the cove also had monkeys. Don’t touch them – they are aggressive.Overall, everything was well orchestrated. The cruise was well staffed and with experienced canoeists to canoe on your part if you’re feeling lazy. A great day out.
We arranged to go on this tour through the resort at which we stayed. Pick up occurred exactly as arranged and the bus drove us as quickly as possible to the jetty where we left for the day. It’s the big boat and the day is explained and organized effectively. We took canoes three times, twice through limestone caves and once to the “private” beach. We had the same canoeist each time. The idea is that people tip the person at the end of the day. We didn’t understand that and others on the tour did not either. It explains the pokes in the back plus gestures to an island and sleeping motions that our canoeist made. The beach was awful. The sea tasted of bicarb soda.. The atmosphere on board was friendly and everyone chatted away.. it was fun. Lunch was average. The food was cold and mostly fried. There was no effort made for vegetarians. Afternoon tea was fruit without cutlery so everyone touched it. Fortunately we were first as opposed to last for lunch.We spent a short time on the island. There’s a lot of encouragement given to spend money that’s all I would say. We enjoyed the day. We paid 2000TB each.
This tour was amazing, crew were excellent. Lunch provided was very yummy, some of the other tours were very crowded & herded like cattle at the various destinations. All up a fantastic experience, highly recommend.
Although their boat is little old but staff is very co-operative and they give you more services than you pay for. Their food is really delicious and in tour price of Bhat 1000 they serve you at least Bhat 400 food so they are charging Bhat 600 for tour, which is nothing for the beautiful tour . This was my second trip with some of same staff in last 4 years.
You will get to see all the trademark attractions like ‘James Bond Island’. it’s a full day of sightseeing, canoeing and swimming. The boat is a bit old and tired but it’s big and there is plenty of room to move around. Well organised and the scenery is truly stunning! Lunch was good and tasty, but not great. With pick up and drop off from our hotel this was an easy, great day out.
