They ran out of vodka which I was drinking, not good but they lent us a brolly when it was time to go back to hotel, this was a kind thing to do, it was chucking it down with rain
Will be returning to beautiful quiet Nai Yang next month. Cant wait to go back to our favourite bar Hi Beach with my sister Jackie, partner, adult children and friends. See you all soon again. Get the beer and G& T ready. Great prices, a pool table, some tables to sit at and watch the world go by…get some food from another local cafe and they will have it brought to you at Hi Beach. Very helpful friendly beautiful people.
This quickly became my favourite bar along the beach. I was drawn in by a brilliant rendition of “Walk the line” from Joey, the resident singer who has an extensive repertoire. The staff are incredibly friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed and the cocktails are delicious! I enjoyed some fun games of pool and conversations with other travellers and the barman Mia. Highly recommended as a place to escape the crowds and enjoy a tipple and some great music. I will be back on my next visit to phuket.
Another visit to the Hi Beach Bar.Lovely Staff, great music and drinks, all together a memorable experience as always.Karolina &Karl
A really beautiful little Bar! Absolutely full of atmosphere. On the street across from the beach. Sheltered by small potted trees while still offering views of the street life and passing parade. Soft music and friendly staff. South East Asia at its best.
I went to Hi Beach twice during my month in Phuket. The drinks were good, and they were playing a lot of classic rock and alternative music from the states which soothed my homesick heart. The staff is rather lifeless though. They seem like they’d rather be anywhere else. Plus they got offended when 2 of our party of 4 decided to turn in early for the night. Maybe it’s better during the high season, but don’t expect stellar service.
There aren’t many bars in this area as it is mostly restaurants but this is certainly a good one. Despite its name, it isn’t actually on the beach but on the road that runs parallel. We called in as it had a good looking happy hour and enjoyed our time there. There is lots of pub type sports for you to get involved in or you can just listen to the great music they play. It is a quirky place with a chilled atmosphere and, once we discovered it, we visited quite a few times. The beer was cold and the prices very good so it was a tick from us.
There are a few bars in Nai Yang but this is the only one on TA, we ordered two wines but they only had one glass of wine left. We asked for lager but that also had run out. In the end we settled for the one glass of wine and a G&T and for the first time in two months got charged for a mixer in thailand. We stay in Nai Yang every year but will be avoiding this place as there are other bars that ‘serve all’ that has some drinks to serve!
This was a place we had frequented on our last visit to the area and we really liked it. It appears to be owned by an Italian guy now and it is even better. The service is absolutely lovely. The young lady from Myanmar really looked after us and couldn’t do enough to help. They do a great range of cocktails and some very cold beers. all these are served with complimentary crisps and nuts which is a really nice touch.True, it isn’t on the beach, but you aren’t far away and you get to see all the action of the street and believe me there’s lots!
What an amazing bar run but two Italian guys Fiore and Fabrizio, we stopped by a few times and they couldn’t be more welcoming. On our last night we decided to sample the Italian food and it was just like ‘mamma used to make’, fabulous! A really much needed change from noodles and rice. So if you are up in North Phuket by the National Park head down on the main road, you cant miss it, on the left hand side on the road behind the beach. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Fiore and Fabrizio!
