Trekking with Ten and Uncle Ben is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking 58000, Thailand
Ten was raised in one of the Hill-tribes so knows the area so well. He is also very skilled in jungle trekking and has a great knowledge of the fauna and flora. We organised a three day experience with Ten. On the first day he took us along a relatively easy three day trek. He then assessed our fitness (wife and two girls aged 11 and 13). WE stopped and spent a night at a hill-tribe village which was a magic experience to understand the culture and eat the traditional food. Thee next day we went on a long trek up the top of a mountain. Ten was so great in explaining everything, having regular breaks and ensuring we had enough food and water. I cannot recommend Ten enough. If you want to Trek in Mae Hong Son he is you man. Contact him via e-mail from his website and he will be more than happy to put an itinerary together for you.
My husband and I did a 2 days/1 night trek in Mae Hong Son with guide Ten. It was an amazing trip! There were many highlights… our outstanding guide Ten was organised and very knowledgeable with the history and culture the mountain has to offer. We climbed up to 2 mountains, The hiking was challenging but the views made it totally worth the effort. We were so well cared for and it is definitely an absolute adventure and fulfilled our dream. Cannot recommend this trip highly enough. ”

Mr Puddy was walking around in the hotel were we stayed (the owner and him are friends) he talked with us a cut and explain he was organizing some tours in case we were interested but without being pushy and with a really good English. After a small walk by the lake we found his agency and finally book a tailored tour for us (2x persons). For a very fair price (3500b) we arranged the visit of the Lod cave and Mae Lana cave with transportation and entrance to Lod Cave. We had to pay an extra 500b/pers to enter Mae Lana cave because we needed a local guide to accompany us. We did the tour with his nephew Ten and we had an amazing day ! Ten speaks a really good English too and we talked about many things during the trip it was really interesting to have a real insights from a local and all the explanations about the beautiful things we saw during this day. Ten was super flexible, we stopped for food and coffee on the way, he even took a small detour for us to see the bamboo bridge. I was a bit sceptic at first cause you never really know before booking a tour but this one was 100% worth it !!! Ten also took some pictures of us during our visit and send them to us 🙂 A great experience !
I feel so sorry that its taken me THIS long to write this review. You know, you have an amazing trip an awesome journey then you get back home and life starts happening again and you forget to recognize the ones that made your trip so amazing and memorable. I contacted Ten, back in 2019 (we arrived in Thailand in April of 2019 but the drop down list wouldn’t let me go that far back), as I was planning a trip to Thailand for myself and 3 others. My sister, my good friend and her brother. I’ve been thinking about tenandbentrekking for a long time now. Wondering how the pandemic affected them and the work they do. I hope they were able to survive and keep their business going because my experience with them was truly one of the most memorable and enjoyable of my entire life. Everything was top notch. The words helpful, understanding and patient don’t even begin to describe Ten and the level of service he provided during the trekking, from airport pick up and travel, showing us around Mae Hong Son, explaining culture and life to us setting us up with a homestay…I still think about that time and its been almost 4 years. If you go to Thailand and you want to do something other than club, party and beaches, contact this man, because its an experience you won’t forget and OMGOSH!!!! The coffee from the village!!!! Some of the BEST coffee I’ve ever had before in my life! I know its been a long time Ten, I’m sorry I didn’t do this sooner. I hope to see you again one day!
We highly recommend Guide La as a trekking guide in the Mae Hong Son area.We are a family with 3 children (age 7, 8, 11). We came across La through his brothers trekking company Ten and Ben trekking.We went on a 3 days, 2 nights trekking trip east of Mae Hong Son Town. Apart from La we also had a carrier with us. La is very friendly and speaks very good English. He has many years experience as a guide for foreign tourists. He knows a lot about the nature and tought us many things about animals and plants. He has friends in many villages and gave us a good insight into village life and we stayed overnight with two different Karen families. The route was beautiful and diverse, a highlight was to walk on a mountain ridge for severel hours with the most stunning view on both sides.
