Unreal shows, dancers and staff. We spend a last night in boys town, this place was best. Ok, its not a sex shows, but its funny, very professional dancers and servis was super friendly. Cheapest drinks in area, nobody pushing u, u can just go, relax and enjoy your drink… love it and we defo come back.
On Saturday night after an evening of massage, I decided to take in the show at Castro which I always enjoy. Before going in I checked my wallet to see if I had enough money to buy a drink. I had a thousand baht bill and some twenties ( I am sure I had a 100 baht bill – I was not drunk) I had two beer and after the show I put my 1000 baht bill in the cup to pay my 320 baht bill. The waiter came back with my change and I gave him a 40 baht tip. Then saw I had only been given 180 baht in change. I went up to the waiter and told him he had short changed me. He immediately told me I had only given him a 500 baht bill. When I realized he was not going to budge I asked for the manager and was directed to a guy behind the bar who was acting as cashier. When I told him my problem, he immediately said I had paid with a 500 baht bill (how he would have know my transaction I will never know as he was very busy with others). I realized it was my word against theirs and left not happy. I wonder if other people have had similar sa similar experience at this bar?
We went to the show at 11pm! It was suggested that we make reservations for a friday nite. We could select our seats.We chose to sit in a luxuriously appointed, 2nd row.What we didn’t realize was that it was a narrow bench seat, so you couldn’t get comfortable. You were high off the floor,so if you didn’t rest your feet on the foot ring of the table, your feet would be left dangling…4 guys started off writhing in place — for 30min.awful…Loud, thunderous, deafening, music.Then the acts began – good and awful… for an hour…Two in particular had spectacular outfits and makeup, but again — ruined by the gawd awful music. And everything done was to a heavy disco beat. No relief from it…The one redeeming thing was — the performers had boys dancing by their sides. The boys’ choreography was wonderful! Really nicely done.Everything was tastefully done. Nothing was exposed or suggested. For that, you go across the street… Staff was accommodating and gracious…
Castro bar in the heart of Boys Town Pattaya is the perfect place for a entertaining night out. The bar prices are very reasonable and the service is good with a bar on the terrace and in the show bar, the waiters are very efficient and friendly. The Ladyboy and drag show starts at 23:30 and lasts about 80 minutes. The bar has some of the best ladyboys in Pattaya or Jomtien, drawn from some of the big show venues with some of the best dancers, show big show quality in a small show. The show changes every night with beautiful costumes fantastic ladyboys and great lip sync. The bar is often very full so be early to get a good rest. I am sure you will enjoy.
Castro is located in the heart of Boyztown, an area that is very much run down and dying. Whilst predominantly gay, it is welcoming to all.Drinks are reasonably priced, with those taken on the terrace cheaper than those on the terrace less expensive than those in the showbar. This is entirely reasonable. Entertainment starts at 23:00, with the show proper being at 23:30. The performances are mediocre and nowhere close to the standard of those in the Jomtien Complex.

At 7pm we arrived in the street for a quiet pre-dinner drink to be met with darkness – the largest bar has closed, as had two others so we left with the choice of one!!Service was good, prices a little high but we did not stay for the show.
The Castro Bar put on an excellent show several times a night. Lots of fun and tongue in cheek comedy, as only the Thais can do!
