After a 17 hour flight, the last thing we wanted to be bothered with was navigating BKK to get a taxi. I’ll say this, a taxi to hotel in Sukhumvit was about 500 baht, our ride with taxi well was $37 USD. I had some trouble finding my driver (pretty sure I was on the wrong level) and I called the contact number on the website using WhatsApp. The man spoke pretty good English and guided me where to go. That was helpful. The driver helped with our bags, comfortable air conditioned car and it was all very simple. We paid online one day before we arrived. They email a receipt and instructions. These people aren’t hard to contact if things go wrong. Thanks so much!
Uber is no longer available in Bangkok. Grab is the new service but not sure how reliable it is. The easiest way to get out of BKK airport is the airport rail and BTS but this time my family had too many luggages to carry, so I reserved the van thru Taxiwell well in advance of my trip. I got 50% off holiday discount. I ended up paying 650 baht after the discount, which was cheap for an airport transportation. I was bit skeptical in the beginning, but I found this service quite reliable and prompt. The confirmation was promptly sent via whatsapp. No need to worry about no show or anything. The drivers were very polite and friendly as well. Highly recommended
