Dew was recommended by the Shangra la hotel for a personalized tour of the Grand Palace, Temple of the Dawn, and the Reclining Buddha. She did an outstanding job taking the time to show us many unknown items that other tours would have passed up. She knew her history and was great in providing us a look at things others would not have seen! She was personable and genuine and spent 6 hours with my wife and I touring the sites listed above. I highly recommend using Dew at Bangkok Journeys
A++!!! We had a beautiful day with our driver and our guide Patcharee. We highly recommend them since the service was wonderful, van was clean and air conditioned, they were knowledgeable, great recommendations and we felt very comfortable. Contact information: 66+ 081-269-1890
The tour was delightful and very well organised a fantastic friendly team including the driver. I would thoroughly recommend Nok Jason as a guide, he is extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to be around.
Prior to our arrival in Bangkok, my husband and I planned our itinerary in conjunction with the concierge staff at the Anantara Siam, who coordinated our private excursions in the countryside outside of the city with Bangkok Journey Tours. Our incredible guide, Bird, met us in the hotel lobby (he was always prompt/early) and escorted us to a lovely, comfortable van, whose driver safely and quickly got us to each of our destinations (providing cold bottled water and cold towels after each stop). During the ride, Bird provided a wealth of information about what we would be seeing, as well as cultural information about Thailand and its people. Yes, we did the touristy Train Market and Damnernsaduak Floating Market, but Bird always knew to steer us to more interesting, out-of-the-way experiences. In conjunction with that particular trip, we added a country bike tour past pineapple plantations and orchards of guava and mango, during which we stopped at a small local school. Bird knew that it was lunchtime for the kids, so we were able to meet some of them, which was delightful. The day that we went on the Lotus Farm/Orchid tour, we walked a short distance along the road to a rice field, where we met the 75-year-old farmer who was happy to talk to us through Bird, and answer our questions about his business. The day that we went to the River Kwai to see the museum and cemetery, we asked to include hiking and swimming at Erawan National Park, but were originally told that if we did that, we would not be able to ride on the Death Railway train. Bird made sure that we were able to do all of those things, and more, including watching a local woman make rice crackers and taking a longboat ride on the river, which provided a beautiful view of the bridge. The day we visited Bang Pa-In Palace and Ayutthaya, we had a fun, delicious lunch at a very local noodle bar. When we told Bird that we were going to take a cooking class in Bangkok, he discouraged us (“too touristique”) and arranged for us to go to a local market and take a class at Aoywaan Riverside Restaurant, located on the Tha Chin river. It was only after we had sat down to enjoy our fabulous lunch that we learned that Aoy had won Thailand’s Iron Chef competition! Bird also made arrangements for us to have Thai massages from a woman who is an instructor at the famous Wat Po massage school. Each of our tours was so very informative and fascinating, in large part due to Bird’s vast knowledge and tour experience. Each day included much more than was set out in the itinerary, which was a lovely surprise, and we never felt rushed. Bird was also fun, kind and funny, as well as flexible, and he cheerfully answered our many questions. Bangkok Journey Tours and Bird made our trip unforgettable!!
Myself and Wife decided on the Emerald Tails Tour, which covered what we wanted to see in Bangkok Ammy our guide was excellent, passed on lots of local knowledge, was really friendly and made this a very personal and fun experience
We booked private tours with Bangkok Journey for both the Royal Palace and Reclining Buddha and also a boat trip around the sites of Bangkok, we went along the Chao Phraya and along the Klongs to see the city from a different perspective. I would 100% recommend this company the guide was brilliant Ammy was knowledgeable, polite and funny and we learned so much while having fun. We were collected for the boat trip from our hotel mooring our excellent captain navigated us expertly and for the Palace and Buddha tour we were collected promptly by our driver and guide in a lovely well kitted out mini van and looked after so very well. 10 out of 10!
