  1. The staff were friendly, the bus ride was long and sleepy. The individual tours were fantastic. We did NOT want to do elephant tracking so chose to wash. We were not disappointed.Bamboo rafting was alot of fun. And Very well worth it.Turtle refuge was great. It was a let down due to the seemingly disorganised tours, lunch not being ready, lack of toilet stops, stopping for toilets when there are no toilets etc etc

  2. The girls wanted a day out with animals, boats and see other things so this was provided. They absolutely loved the day out and meeting all the amazing creatures.Apparently only thing they didn’t do that was on tour guide was visiting Tsunami Memorial which really should have happened.

  3. I booked the Khao Sok Safari tour through Phuket Tours Direct. I’m not sure who misrepresented the itinerary but we didn’t do exactly what was described on the Phuket Tours website. The elephant trek was stated as being 1 hour long but was closer to 35 – 40 minutes. I was actually grateful as our seat on the elephant was very uncomfortable as the back padding was non-existent. Instead we had a metal bar against our back that we hit as the elephant rocked and swayed. The actual rafting was also closer to 40 minutes rather than an hour because we took at least a 20 minute break for instant coffee made from water heated in bamboo. The website also showed pictures of the Suwankuha cave temple which we did not stop at. This was one of my main reasons for booking this excursion. We did stop at a temple with monkeys roaming around but it was not Suwankuha. We did have two additional stops not on the itinerary which were a stop at the bridge connecting Phuket Island and a market. The Tsunami Memorial is a little odd in that it seems to be under construction but I didn’t see any evidence of on-going work. It doesn’t appear to be well kept perhaps because of the construction? Lunch was very good.

  4. Hey there :-)We have booked the tour in advance via the main website for the “bamboo rafting and elephant bathing tour” in August (rainy season) for ~ 3000 baht / aproximately 100 € and we got the Voucher and Information via E-mil. The Bus collected us from the hotel right in time and the tour guide was speaking fluently english and even german and while we were driving to our first stop we already got a lot of Information about the area, the destinations etc. We visited:TSUNAMI MEMORIAL (10 minutes duration but there was not all too much to sea but you could inform youself a lot about that area which was hit hard by the Tsunami)ELEPHANT CAMP here we had time to prepare for the elephant bathing and using the toilet. We then drove about 3 minutes to the river, where there were already some elephants waiting. The crew was taking care for your safety and you could bath the elefants, take photos, feed them, there was enough time. The elepahnts seemd pretty well cared for. I could see no bad treatment or chains. The elephant camp was big. I coumnt see any cages. (Still hope they are well all in all ofcourse)It was a great experience to come so close to them and they were such calm and beautiful animals. Back in the elephant camp there was a possibility to shower and change your clothes, drink and eat a snak, walk around a little bit.We than drove further through the nationalpark, had a photostop at a really beautiful spot and we arrived ad the Khao Sok boutique camp where there was a really nice restaurant already awaiting us with really good food (different meals also vegetarian) that was really so good. We hat time to take photos in the camp with many besutiful locations. On the way to the rafting we had a nice stop ad a monkey tempel where there were many calm and sweat animals who werent shy for taking photos. Great!.After that we drove down to the river where there were guards alsready waiting with the canues. We got a waterproof bag and life jackets and rain ponchos but it was good weather most of the time. We drove down the river and made a stop at a hill on a mountain side. We had to take a little walk through the rain forest, and yeah you really have to take care for yourself, of course, because you never know about animals behind the leaves but the guards took care of us pretty well with every step we took. Rhen we sat by a fire, had coffee and tea and there were som wild monkeys joining us. It was great being right in the wild Jungle After the rafting, the busses were already waiting for us with fresh water and cleaning wipes. We then had another stop for buing some fruits or using toilets before we were heading back to the hotel. All in all I was surprised how well organised and right in time everything had been and I can absoljtely recommend the tour if you want to have a real Thailand Jungle experience!

  5. We attended a full day action packed tour to the Khoa Sok area. The bridge, the tsunami memorial, elephant bathing, monkey (feeding) temple, bamboo rafting. The lunch in the companies mountain resort was beautiful. We would have liked to stay there for the night. Our guide Poar was excellent and provided tons of information during the tour. She was well prepared with a raincoat for each of us. Fortunately they where not required. Highly recommended tour

  7. We booked the 1 night tour to include ride to the lake pier, boat ride to the phuphawaree floating resort , breakfast lunch and dinner, mangrove trekking, sundown, sunrise and animal sightings on long boat. Excellent 2 days trip. Highly recommended! Did not see elephants this time but plenty of monkeys, wild pigs and wild birds. The rooms are nice, basic with aircond. Food is good. Bring your own wine and liquor if required…
