I knew healthland in Bangkok and I wanted to try the one in Pattaya. I did not like it much. It was not a miserable experience, it was relaxing but I has the impression the therapist was caressing instead of massaging! Not the best massage!
I (Thai) took my chinese husband and his friend to Health Land Pattaya Sukhumvit. Once we talked with receptionist, we decided to buy 10 Thai massage vouchers with price ฿5,000 (normal price is ฿600/2hr).When we finished massage, my husband called me to talk with their masseuses because after finished massage my husband gave them tips ฿20 each but they asked my husband ฿100 tips each. They said it’s a rule. When the tour come, they give ฿100 tips as well. I told them that we are not a tour. ( I was born and raised in Pattaya) why do we need to pay ฿100 tips and the reception didn’t tell me anything about that. They do face unhappy to us and lead us to the way out.I’m so disappointed about this and so embarrassing to my husband and his friend. We went to many massage shops in Pattaya but they never force us to pay tip like this place!
I really like the Healthland massage experience when i was in Bangkok so thought to give the Pattaya Healthland spa and Massage hotel a try. The accommodation was pretty decent priced at 2800baht per room/night with free breakfast when i booked directly from the hotel website. No complaints on the room – it’s spacious and clean and well maintained. Service overall is very good throughout the hotel. Breakfast buffet was mediocre though and too many tour groups so the breakfast area is jam packed in the morning. Hotel comes with 1 free massage per room and the masseur i had sadly pales when compared to the Healthland Asok one i had in Bangkok. All in, the hotel is nice if you prefer to get some peace and quiet after the night out. 🙂
We visited the spa during a weekday and were pleased with the professionalism of the staff. We all selected different services, including a full body massage and facial. The full-body massage is highly recommended as the staff pays a lot of attention to the pressure points. Another attraction is the use of Jurlique products, which makes the experience worthwhile. I will not recommend the facial (Hydra) as there was hardly anything the masseur did and I did not feel refreshed at all! The prices of the services are certainly higher than what one may pay at other spas. But this place is high on hygiene and cleanliness.
I was visiting in Pattaya with friends. After a full day events , we just want to find a good massage place for relaxing. We were recommended by the local friend to this spa. B$600 for 2 hours full body Thai massage. The room is clean and the masseurs were highly trained. The only complaint I have was the room lighting, can’t be dimmed. Overall, it was a good experience.
It’s so relaxed and refreshed for oil massage. I just tried it first time for Pty branch. I normally used the BKK branch service. It’s indifference. The quality and Massuer skill are equivalent. The staffs are friendly and polite. Not disappointed at all.
.After a 16 hour plane ride to Thailand in cramped Economy (Coach) Class, I eagerly said, “Yes!”, when my ex-pat Thailand friend suggested a massage at his favorite spot. This was only my second massage ever, and it was a luxurious dream WITHOUT the “luxurious” price (at least by North American standards). It was 1100 Baht (US$ 32 or Cdn$ 44) for a 90 minute (that’s right, NINETY minute) ultra-professional massage.First, you check in at the front desk (which is staffed by multilingual receptionists who speak English). You then choose the (mild) scent of massage oil you like. Then, you remove your shoes and socks and are provided with slippers, as you take the elevator to one of the massage rooms. At the massage room, you are left alone to disrobe, shower, and change into a fresh package of disposable underwear for your massage. When you’re ready, your uniformed masseuse will enter. For the 90 minute massage, you’ll spent 45 minutes on your front and 45 minutes on your back. Part way through the second half, the masseuse will sit you up, and she’ll get up on the table behind you, to use her strength and leverage to loosen up some ultra-tight back muscles that most of us have. If at any time the massage hurts, say “Jeb, jeb!”, which loosely translates to “Ow, Ow.”Of course, the entire massage experience is up to you. When you start the whole process at Reception, just tell them what kind of massage you want, the intensity, as well as specific areas of your body to concentrate on or be gentle with. The 90 minutes will fly by, and you will come close to falling asleep or may actually doze off. You’ll feel like a new person. After the massage, do NOT shower, in order to allow the massage oils to work on your skin for a few hours or until the morning, if you wish. BTW, the oils will NOT stain your clothes. You’ll be brought back to the lobby, after your massage. As you leave the lobby, I suggest you quietly and subtly tip your masseuse 100 Baht, It will mean a great deal to her, and I’m sure you can spare the US$ 3 (or Cdn$ 4) for the gratuity.BTW, massage is only one of several services this Spa provides. Enjoy.
It was one of the worst massage experience I have ever had. There were 10 people in our group including 4 teens. Our appointment was 8 pm. The staff at the door rushed us in to start. We didnt have a chance to pick our preference of oil what so ever. My room was stuffy, so I asked the therapist to tirn on the air conditioning. It was turned on but the air conditioning was just on top of my head when I laid prone. I was freezing. The therapist didnt notice despite the appearance my goosebumps. And then it was so noisy outside the room in the hallway . I suspected that someone turned on the TV next door or something. It was supposed to be a relaxing experience…Thirdly, the massage bed was so hard. I felt as if my pressure points were pressed on a wooden board whenever the therapist added pressure. I felt pain on pressure points. It was an unpleasant experience.
