I live in pattaya but don’t own a motorbike and was really struggling to find a boxing gym that had a good location I could get to that was also reasonably priced.I have trained so far for a month on most days and will continue on.This gym ticks all the boxes for me.Location – it is in the street that runs alongside some huge shop called toscano. i get a baht bus each day for most of the way and then walk a little bit. All the other gyms in pattaya are in hard to get to places for me.Cost – 6000 for a month. 600 for a day or 350 for 1 session. I actually found this reading reviews of the nearby fairtex gym. A reviewer mentioned this place as being cheaper and better. Fairtex (maybe 500m away) is more than double the cost and won’t budge on the price for expats. So the cost is very reasonable that I didn’t even bother to ask for an expat deal. Girls are cheaper at 200b.Times 10-2 then 4-9. wednesdays off and 10-5 on sundays. This is very relaxed and suits me well. no 8am or 4pm sharp starts. The trainers are former world minimum weight champion Den Junlaphan who mainly does boxing and a Thai guy called Kop who does muay thai. English here is a bit limited but it no problem for me ever. Sparring and fights are available if you want.Lots of equipment here tyres, weights, bags, speedballs etc. Gloves and wraps provided. The wraps are washed daily unlike some other gyms. Fully matted area with music and fans. Water 20b.For negatives I struggle to think of anything worth mentioning. Can’t recomend the place enough. They have a facebook page.
This gym is my favorite where I spent most of every evening there for many months.Kru Den Julaphan –the owner and the trainer is the former world WBC Champion so no doubt the skill. There are 3 trainers for Muay Thai who are active fighters for Max Muay Thai, trust me those people are super nice.Gym size is big compared to most of the gyms in Pattaya. Toilets were also cleaned :)Prices are really affordable especially for monthly membership.
The best gym I’ve ever known. Den is 2 times WBC champion. Every Thai visit I go this gun everyday . Please do not forget, every Wednesday is day off.
I was absolutely planning to do a boxing course in a foreign country, a lot of people go to Cuba for boxing school but I found this club with Den, multiple WBC world champions. any English boxing fan should do an internship here, the price is good, the coaches are all excellent and caring and above all Den is always a killer with gloves, impressive!
