  1. We got the 2 day 1 night tour for Cheow Lan Lake and included a swim and bathe with the elephants. The pick-up from our hotel in Phuket town was punctual and helpful with the heavy rain and our luggages. We got to Khao Sok National park first to meet our awesome tour guide Yu. Then we bathed and fed the elephants freely while he waited to transfer us to Cheow Lan Lake Pier. At the pier Yu helped us organise our luggages and adviced us to pack lightly as the boat couldn’t carryarge luggages. We left the rest of oue belongings in the same minibus as the same one would pick us up the next day. Plern Prai Rafthouses was simply amazing. The view from our rafthouse was exceptional and we could jump right into the warm waters of the green lake. The toilets and showers were decent and used the same water from the lake. Our beds were comfortable and perfect for two people. The food provided was traditional and homey. Yu was an amazing your guide with great communication, and very professional as he knew the rainforest and lake front to back! He was very humorous and genuinely kind hearted.Thank you for the great hospitality Limestone! We will be back 🙂

  2. We booked the Three day khao Sok highlights tour, for 2 nights. We stayed for one night at a tree house and one night at a raft house. The company had every detail organized and they were very punctual. Everything was according to the itinerary. The staff of limestone (Phou and Pon) and of the accommodations were very helpful and kind. Great hospitality! We felt very welcome. We would like to recommend especially our guide Yoo who was extraordinary. He was warm, full of knowledge about the wildlife, took care of everything we needed, and showed us what real nature looks like. He was enthusiastic about every animal he had spotted for us, always smiling, and he showed us the Thai way of living. A very special person!! Other than that, the scenery was unbelievably beautiful and primary. The reserve is very well kept. If you book this tour you are promised to have a special once in a lifetime experience. We were actually sad when the trip was over and wish to come back one day!Notes: Like most companies, Limestone offers elephant trekking during the tour, but unlike most companies, they give you the option to choose an alternative activity, like we did for moral reasons. Note that most of the accommodations in the reserve area don’t offer hot showers, but don’t let that stop you from coming!Thank you Limestone! We love you, Yoo! Yours, Ricky and Tal

  3. Myself and my girlfriend booked this trip in advance of arriving in Thailand as it was the sort of experience we were very keen to partake in and based on the reviews it seemed a safe bet. Our experience which was from the 20th to 23rd of March 2017 however could not have been more disappointing which I shall detail below. Firstly the experience cost 35,000 Baht which equates to £875, which having spent 3 weeks in Thailand prior to this experience (which was our first experience in Thailand and as it turned out unbelievably expensive) turned out to be more than the cost of our 3 nights in a 5 star resort in Phuket. That said you are lead to believe off the reviews that it is probably worth it … WRONG! We arrived at the Nature Resort in Khao Sok at midday and were told there and then by the operator that we would not see a rep again after check in and after that were left to ourselves for the rest of the day save for a 1 hour (not 2-4 hour) canoe down river. Whilst at the accommodation and having spoken to their staff it quickly transpired that the operator had booked us in their worst/cheapest accommodation (no air con or mosquito screens in a tree house in the jungle and barely space for a double bed). The costs I discovered from the staff were as follows; as coincidently they use all the same guides etc for their organised trips which we went on with the operator: 1) the cost of our tree house 1,200 Baht per night 2) 1 day jungle trekking 1,400 Baht per person if only 2 people 1,200 pp if more than 2 people 3) canoe trip 800 Baht pp 4) floating bungow at Chieow Laan Lake for one night plus jungle trip to cave and early morning wildlife spotting 7,000 Baht pp if only 2 people, this reduces drastically to 2,800 Baht pp if more than 2 people. This would be significantly cheaper therefore than what we paid for the package!Granted that for the two nights in the tree houses you would need to pay for your food but this is all charged at standard prices of c.200 Baht per main ie. £5 and you would need to pay the small 300 Baht admission fees to the national parks. The tour operator was completely uncontacable once checked in, despite numerous complaints.Their website also does not emphasise how basic the lake house accommodation is, basically a floating shed. This would have been acceptable but not at the cost paid for on this package. The national parks throughout Thailand are very well organised as are the guided trips which you can arrange on arrival. You really do not need to spend lots of money on a tour operator doing this for you.

  4. Don’t miss this place! Truly spectacular. More people need to know about this place, but it was great to among only a few tourists. Made it even better 🙂

  5. We did a 3 day tour, 1 night three house and 1 night floting house in a beautiful lake in Khao Sok. The three house resort was cute but very very dirty room, under our bed we had garbage from years ago im sure, still not the tour company’s fault but they should check it out to give a better service to their clients, the floting house was good but not the best one of the place (i would expect to get the best for the price we paid for the tour), but fair to say, the place and surroundings were amazing and worth it to see :). At the end of the tour we got charged 100 bath to take us to a station near by to be able to take a bus for our next destination, we have done a couple tours here and there and all of them includes picking up and dropping off, this one should have done that as it’s really expensive. Instead we were just told there at the end of the tour at the entrance of the lake if we wanted a ride to the bus station would cost us 100 bath pp. I didn’t expect a ride to another town or anything, just a ride back to the nearest station (15 min away), would have been the same to take me back to my hotel if i was staying near there. It should be part of the package i think, anyways, the experience was nice and the staff friendly. That was a plus 🙂

  6. I booked a one-night discovery tour through Limestone Lake. I was staying in Phuket and had to travel to Khao Sok, which was a bit more complicated than expected. Heads up: you have to take a taxi or mini bus to the bus terminal in Phuket town, then take bus 465 to Surat Thani via Khao Lak. The bus will stop at Khao Sok, just make sure you let the driver know where you’re going. Round trip, it cost 300 baht, I believe. The package I booked included one night in the tree house, a 2 hour guided canoe trip, and a jungle trek for 5,500 baht, about $245 NZD ($170 USD). This included all the meals during the stay. The treehouse has a bed, desk and chair, fan, and bathroom with a shower. Most of the cabins sit right next to the lake and a few are set further back from the path.Overall, this was a really wonderful experience. Getting into nature is always so reviving to me and I loved seeing the wildlife. That being said, this is nearly a bare bones experience. The only thing that would make it more stripped is if you were in a tent in the forest. This is definitely not for everyone, but it’s worth the time and money if you are interested in being close to nature. Everyone is very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the stay. Be careful about the timing of your trip as well, because rain can make this a bit difficult.

  7. Such a rude woman who had zero time for travellers. A young American lady was in front of me at the desk and wanted some advice on rooms to book etc.The customer service assistant was so rude and was verbally aggressive towards the American lady- that bad I felt awkward being in the shop! After that the American lady left empty handed and looking a bit sullen. Then it was mine and my partners turn! We were asking for a little information regarding the tour and we got nothing but smarmy comments and a rude tone from her. Of course this put myself and my partner off putting any money in her hand and instead went down the road and booked with another man who was helpful and informative! Maybe look at teaching your employees basics manners to prevent countless travellers walking in and back out of your store.

  8. We booked this tour through our hotel, Art’s Riverview Hotel. Generally, the experience was great. Our guide, Oam, was amazing and did a great job of keeping us informed of what was going on, despite his imperfect English skills. The tour program was amazing – we visited two caves, saw lots ofAnimals and had lots of time for swimming and relaxing. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because of the state of the facilities. It looks like everything was new a few years ago, but hasn’t been properly maintained since. There were several places where the floating paths had holes and the bathrooms were in pretty bad shape. If they were to make a few small improvements, it would be 5 stars for sure!

  9. We booked a tour and due to the storm Pabuk we had to cancel it. Phou (the person that we were in contact with) told us that we could have a 50% refund and that the payment would be made on the 15th February 2019…We have still no news, no answers to our mails and no money back (aout 30’000 baths what is about 900$)…I call that stealing money…

  10. We stayed at Riverfront resort at Khao Sok and everything was amazing at this hotel. In addition, our hotel organized a one day tour to the lake and everything was perfectly organized. Our transportation, the lunch and snacks we had were perfect. Our tour guide Ya Ya was amazing and totally qualified for this tour. We went to the lake, we had a delicious lunch and after that we chose ro go trekking in the jungle and visit the cave in the jungle. Thah was once in a lifetime experience!! Congratulations to our hotel and to our guide Ya Ya.
