I guess it comes down to what you expect and look for.Music was certainly not good in my opinion. Missed tunes and some sub standard singing drive me out quickly.Same low standard seems to apply to wine served – nothing I would serve even to my worst enemies ?.My guess is that music is not the thing people looking for and I should have known it from the location ?.
Decent place where you women don’t bother you. You can go in with your friends find a table, sit down listen to the music and peacefully enjoy your drinks. The place looks like it needs some upgrading. The sound systems could be better. But service is decent. This is at the beginning of the famous Soi Cowboy.
Three nights in Bangkok, and each night ended in this pub. Amazing live bands, polite and helpful staff and a great ambiance. Recommended to those that visit Bangkok.

I would not recommend this establishment. While the music and drink are ok. The staff is shady and looking to scam. My wife and I stopped in for two drinks each. The bill was 640B but the lady said the two drinks at the table were not one the bill and she grabbed 40baht more than the 700 I had given her. Yes she literally grabbed it from my hands and ran off. I was trying to wrap my brain around wtf just happened. When conformed her she disappeared to the other side of the bar or somewhere. When I told others that works there they didn’t care and some even tried to say she didn’t work there. Lol. It’s definitely a scam they are doing there. I’ve been to Thailand many times before. I think Thai people are generally very kind and respectful but they people are scum and dirt.
They’ve got very good live music by Thai bands.While it’s in Soi Cowboy, it’s NOT a dodgy place so it’s good fun for everyone. Service is good and the people are friendly.

Nervous to enter Soi Cowboy, and we’re seasoned travellers, and very broad minded. Reviews almost scared us off. Yeah the sexy ladies are there flaunting and spruiking, but Country Road bar was great. Legit wait staff. Legit prices – 120 Thai b for a Chang stubby, icy cold. Two live bands. Dancing and fun. Relaxed pretty quickly when we entered. Would recommend.
