Very professional place, quite busy it seems so don’t expect to go and get your massage right away, you might need to book for some hours later. The experience is nice, tried the Thai massage with herbal ball and standard preasure. Be aware that the ball can be quite hot. The massage was really good but I don’t think I would recommend the herbal ball unless like me you just want to try it and know how it is.Massage includes some appetizers at the beginning and end that was nice as well, you can get to try the popular mango with sticky rice in a very relaxed way.Also be aware that they provide an underwear for you that is quite transparent but you can keep yours if that makes you uncomfortable.The place is almost hidden, you will probably miss it if you pass by so check it out in the map.Tip: Try to do a reservation in advance
It was easy to make an appointment by phone via the main Makkha Spa helpline. The location of the Spa was great and easy to locate. The ambiance of the place was very relaxing. My wife and I opted for 90 min couple spa for Aroma Therapy. The room was clean and we had option for shower both before and after. The therapists Aun and Poona we great. We really enjoyed our treatment and look forward to coming here again.Highly recommended especially with the discounted rate between 10am to noon.
My wife and I booked 90 minute hot oil massage and below is my experience.PROS: The spa is nice and the reception is very friendly. They provide mango and sticky rice after the massage which is nice. location is good (BTS ASOKE).CONS: 1) My massage was not great. The masseuse did not seem to know what she was doing. When we started she asking me if I should be on my back or stomach. I would think the masseuse would know their routine.2) They ask where you would like to be massaged and not. I specifically asked for no head massage. The masseuse massaged my head – I kept thinking she would stop but after 3-4 minutes I had to tell her to stop. She said she forgot I didn.t want my head massaged.3) The hot oil was not hot; the oil was at best room temperature. I am wondering for a non-hot oil massage if the oil is is in the fridge? If you are paying a premium for hot oil compared to oil I would expect the oil to be warm anyhow.4) The room was uncomfortably cold – the A/C was blasting down on us. 5) My masseuse left the room for about 5 minutes – I didn’t know what was happening meanwhile my wife’s massage continued. I am not sure if the reviews are real based on my experience. I would use caution. Try somewhere like HealthLand few blocks away. Massages are half the price and you always get a good massage.
