  1. Playing all the golf courses in Hua Hin, this is certainly a positive experience. In good condition and cheaper than the top rated courses such as Banyan. A very nice course that you can play in three hours. We had great caddies and an enjoyable game I warmly recommend this course to any golfer. The lunch we had in the club house on the other hand, was not much to boost about.

  2. Recently reopened following the enforced lockdown and it’s all playing rather well. The tee boxes are flat, the fairways very decent and the greens fast and challenging.Very acceptable green fees are currently very low to attract customers – nice one.

  3. Can’t beat Palm Hills Golf on value-for-money at the moment. With a reduced green fee to attract business in a depressed market due to Covid, no golfer would lose out on this. Lovely scenery, a mountainous backdrop, well-maintained fairways and good pace of play (didn’t see any 6-balls or 8 balls in any flight). Caddies are knowledgeable and well-trained. They keep a meticulous score card, with number of putts per hole besides your gross. They also keep you hydrated well by handing you your drinks after every tee shot. As Hua Hin is a tourist destination, caddies here tend to speak better English than Bangkok courses. Restaurant food is nothing special but again the golf experience is more than enough to keep one happy. I would not hesitate to re-visit if I have a chance.

  4. Like the other courses in the area we played this one 5 times during our stay. The course is in good condition greens difficult (not uncommon in Hua Hin) and beautiful layout. The caddies were for the most very good but also here needs to improve their language skills. The course ranks in my view just under Banyan and Black Mountain and level with Springfield and a nudge over Majestic Creek and Lake View.

  5. I have never had to complain about pace of play being too fast before – but this was our reaction after playing Palm Hills in Feb’23. The caddies were rushing us on every shot to the point that we did not have time to take in the course. We completed the course as a fourball in 3 hrs and 20 minutes. Impressive – but not enjoyable. We were playing early and there was a 3 ball behind us so I understand that the staff wanted us to move at a good pace – but this was too much and it ruined the day for us. Better to let the 3 ball play through!Management should give caddies a reasonable target to complete a round – maybe 4 hrs or 4 hrs 15 mins for a 4 ball – not 3 hrs and 20 mins! Can’t comment on the condition of the course – I didn’t have time to notice it – and, needless to say, I won’t be adding any phots as there wasn’t time to take any!

  6. The golf course is wonderful, challenging and a great experience which I would rate 5 out of 5. Certainly equal to or better than Black Mountain. However, when one leaves the course and goes to the restaurant, the experience is dreadful. Absolutely no service, it was not busy but had to walk to reception twice before we got our drinks. Never bothered to order more drinks. Our food eventually turned up, the kindest thing I could say was that it was adequate but a never to be repeated experience.

  7. My first visit with my friends at Palm Hills Golf Club and everything meet our expectation. One of the best and beautiful golf landscapes in Hua Hin with friendly staffs. After play, we went to have lunch at the restaurant and everythings were perfect. The food presentation look great which i order fish & chip and chicken basket to share with my girlfriend. The restaurant service staffs and manager were also excellent, friendly and great service. Highly recommend this place. I will be back again in the future.

  8. The experience was heavenly pulled down by the staff. First of the staff at the front desk is not very helpful. They don’t smile much, and then they nag at you. I was there 20 minutes before my tee-time, but the lady couldn’t manage to find my name although I told her multiple times, and when she finally found it they wouldn’t give me time for driving range, so I had to go out playing all cold. They only take card in the pro shop, and not at the different cafes/halfway houses, and they can’t open a tab for later payment. The caddy was very quick to say the ball was lost a looooot of times, so she could tell me to buy more. More than often I would find the ball by myself, and it was not even remotely close to out of bounds or gone. The course itself is fine, some places very soggy in the morning because of bad rain drain. On the website I booked the tee time through it says they advice to tip 200 THB to the caddy, which is totally fine, although the caddy insisted she had to be paid 400THB at least because of Thailand law??????Because it took the front desk so long to find my name and booking the caddy would pick up my ball and just continue to the next hole without asking me. I find that very rude and not in okay, when it is at their fault. I have played both with the 500THB bag and the 1000THB and honestly there is no real difference. I would NOT recommend palm hills. I’d rather go another place where the guests are treated better.

  9. Great service from Golfsavers to book it and get me there and back. Played the course as warmup with hired clubs. Bit chaotic at start with very little help to get from one place to another to another before finally finding my caddy. Quite frustrating as it was my first time in Thailand and didnt know the system. Happened at some other courses as well though. Was paired with others which was fine but meant slightly earlier tee. Meant limited time to get souvenir from pro shop so I missed out. I did insist on using driving range but missed putting practise. Liked the course though. Caddy service was very good. Pace of play was good..Had funn..and liked seeing the dogs!

  10. Not the highest rated course in the area but we found it very good. Fairways and greens were in good condition. Bunkers could do with a bit more care.Facilities and restaurant are good, so are caddies. Not the best rated but best value as fees are quite a bit lower than Black Mountain and Pineapple Valley.

  11. Terrible golf course. Greens were patchy and some had holes in them unattended. But the worst thing is they obviously overbooked. Teed off about 1.40pm and when we got to the third hole there were 5 groups waiting. Couldn’t finish the round because it got dark at 6pm and we still had four holes to play. Very poor management probably because they don’t care. Office was closed so we couldn’t report our issues until I called the next day. That didn’t go well. Rude staff who were not prepared to listen. Do not waste your money going there. Played at Majestic Creek two days later and it was an amazing place. Friendly staff and a really beautiful course. Better value for money. Coming back to Hua Hin next year but Palm Hills will NOT be one I will ever go to again
