  1. Fantastic views over Bangkok.Dress code appliesThere are two sides to the bar, one is drinks and a smoking area. The other is the bar made famous by the Hangover movie. That side is awesome, drinks are great and the views are something you won’t get in many places.Definitely worth a visit

  2. Worst rip off in Bangkok, terrible service and then throw in the extortionate prices not worth the visit.Staff were terrible and make sure you read the very very very small print. No wonder the guys from The Hangover were holding their heads in their hands…….they just got the bill.Much nicer and better atmosphere Sky Bars around, no wonder it was empty.

  3. Expensive. Bad drink experience for Bangkok soo many other places in Bangkok to go that offer a better offering. Go have a drink in the Waldorf instead

  4. Even before you can enjoy your first view of the skyline, waiters and waitresses armed with torches and menu cards are whizzing towards everyone who is just leaving the lift. They literally hassle you. The prices are, of course, steep. A drink costs a good €50 and you will hardly be let out again without ordering. At the end I haven’t ordered anything and left the scammers behind 😀

  5. Yes there is a view but at 1000bat for the cheapest drink it is a scam and doesn’t worth it at all…It definitely doesn’t worth the price !

  6. Very disappointed the way this place has gone .Went 10 years ago and it was an amazing experience .Now, they try to take you, to other bars first, then tried getting us to pay for champagne . Can’t stand Bollinger, so that was a no.Then charged just under 2000bht for 2 jack cokes.Inc service charge .WHAT Service . I stood at the bar and ordered myself .Then they will not let you sit down, unless your dinning.YOU Had dozens of tables empty. Maybe I would have stayed and had another two overpriced drinks if we were able to sit and enjoy the amazing views.Whoever owns this place need to get a grip of staff and hotel policy’s .This was not a very nice experience, it felt like a hard sell not the wonderful experience my wife was expecting for her 50 birthday . I’m so glad we went for a meal in OJO in the manahaken first then to the top of the highest rooftop bar in Bangkok .Where cocktails were 500bht and beer was 200Much better places to visit than the lebua .

  7. So glad I was able to get to Skylar. 10 years ago we just saw it during the day. At night, it’s otherworldly. Wow! The view. The people. The atmosphere. The skybar is a must!!!!

  8. Disgustingly expensive.I’m used to pricey London roof tops but this was a joke and tbh we felt scammed. We had asked to go up to the sky bar, staff sent us up in the lift and more staff met us and sat us down in a new Michelin star very pricey bar, not the bar we had had asked for, it wasn’t even on the top floor. Feeling confused, we told them again we wanted to go to the sky bar and so they then took us to the top floor. They led us over to the champagne bar and asked what we wanted to drink, still confused as this wasn’t the bar we asked for, but with 3 staff standing around us, we felt pressured to order, we picked the cheapest drinks – still about £40 each.Once we had our drinks we decided just to head over to the Sky Bar ourselves. We paid cash for our drinks (about £100 total for 2 drinks once service etc was added) and were not even given our change! The views are stunning but unfortunately I wouldn’t go back or recommend. There’s plenty of other rooftops that don’t rip you off. This unfortunately was our only negative experience in Bangkok. A shame as it had been recommended to us by people who had been a few years ago, but they apparently paid no where near that price.

  9. The view was admittedly quite awesome but the price of one drink is between USD$41 to USD$60. Exorbitant and ridiculous given that the cocktails were simple concoctions that you can make at home served in very ordinary glasses and metal cups. It is a standing bar, no seats and no complimentary snacks. For the price of an ordinary drink, I would expect free flow of the bar snacks. Morton’s at the Mandarin Hotel in Singapore used to serve free flow of steak sandwiches with any order of a martini – and it didn’t cost more that USD$20 for a martini.

  10. Visited the sky bar for the first time in maybe 10 years, or so and to be honest, I found it absolutely disgusting! It’s a complete rip off now and it’s totally not worth it! First, they try to kettle you in another bar, so you have to spend ridiculous money of maybe 50 USD for a drink because they tell you the sky bar is too busy but they are simply telling lies, so they can rip you off more! I told the girl, I just wanted a beer a the sky bar, as I had previously at great expense but she sneered at me that they don’t sell beer at the establishment!Im currently on the 53 floor, at the tower club suites on a 3 day stay at the Lebua over Christmas and I’ve had an incredible stay for the second time I’ve been here and I was considering booking a week here for next year but my stay has been soured, if im honest, so maybe the banyan tree next to year! If you want an amazing experience at a sky bar at 10% of the cost, then go to spectrum sky bar, it’s a much better experience and is considered the number 1 sky bar in Bangkok at the moment because of the food service and reasonable coat!A word of advice to the lebua, don’t over a fantastic service and at the end of it scam your customers, they won’t come back!,

  11. Be warned this place is absolutely over priced, 58 US dollars for two tiny glasses of wine.. I felt absolutely ripped off.

  12. Never felt so scammed in my life. £158 for four small average Aperol spritz. More expensive than one night at our fabulous five star hotel on the river. No music, no atmosphere – just a great view. Have come away feeling totally ripped off and angry.

  13. A complete rip off. We are from NYC we can expect and over priced drink. But this was insane. First you pass through a run down mall then corralled onto a hot crowded elevator. You get off and they move you two a worn out free standing bar and offer you only 3 different drinks. I figured it was a conversion issue but they actually charged $75 Usd per drink. The view is limited. Compliments to the jazz band they were great. But $225 for 30 minutes of music and 3 average drinks and a limited view was outrageous.
