Jermsak is an awesome guide… kind, helpful, knowledgeable. He was so accommodating to every need. His English is excellent, and he clearly knows all the sites, history, etc. It is also clear that he’s been at this for some time… several times other guides consulted him and clearly have respect for him. I also had the pleasure of spending some time with his family on our journeys… I feel as though I’ve made new friends! It was a life-changing trip, and I can’t say enough great things about Jermsak.
Jermsak was absolutely wonderful. He brought us on private tours in the Chaing Rai area, into the mountains, to an breathtaking waterfall, on an amazing raft tour with home cooked food (cooked on the raft!) by his wife, and showed us TRUE Thailand. He was very knowledgeable and listened to our interests, throwing in surprise stops based on questions we asked or comments we made. We already recommended Jermsak to a couple we met at the airport who plan to tour Chaing Mai (one of Jermsak’s territories) next year. 10 starts for Jermsak!
My sister and I were hoping to do a trip to Phu Chi Fa and Doi Fa Tang and upon reading great trip advisor reviews of Jersmak, we decided to book him ahead of our schedule. I must say that we couldn’t be more glad that we booked him. He was absolutely amazing on all aspects, be it whether his wealth of knowledge on topics such as history, religion, general information or the hospitality and accommodating nature. Starting at 3:00am in the morning, Jermsak picked us up at our hotel lobby and we reached well ahead of time at the location to witness an amazing sunrise. We then headed to Doi Pha Tang along many highly curvy roads which Jermsak managed with ease. He trekked with us and bestowed us with so much history and knowledge of the place that I couldn’t be more surprised and amazed. He is definitely worth every penny and more and I can guarantee that booking with him will not leave anyone disappointed. He is a rare gem among tour guides.
We booked a trip with Jermsak to Golden Triangle and Myanmar. He provided a van and a SUV for total 14 pax. Throughout the whole trip, he has been very patient with us, slowly introducing us to many of their cultures, history, etc… and never rushed us even if we over run the time. He is so knowledgeable, we can ask him any questions about the place he brought us to, he can answer you right away without difficulties. He has very well spoken English, absolutely no worries in communication. If I would need any guide in the future in Chiang Rai, I will not hesitate to engage him again.
We booked Jermsak for a day seeing local sights around Chiang Rai including the White temple, a rafting trip some waterfalls, a native village and a tea plantation. It was a great day, the scenery was amazing, the highlights were the White temple (separately reviewed) and the rafting trip. Jermsak is very knowledgeable, highly recommend using him. The food on the raft was very good and seeing it freshly cooked on a charcoal stove on a wooden raft was a sight to see.
After reading about other travelers experiences on various blogs etc, we kept coming across this knowledgeable and friendly guide in Chiang Rai by the name of Jermsak. We were fortunate enough to be able to book Jermsak for 3 whole days and were not disappointed.Jermsak provided us with a number of detailed itineraries for us to choose from before we booked with him, including costs – and was happy to adapt if required. His car was clean and comfortable- his driving safe. Cold bottled water was available at all times, along with occasional snacks of baby pineapple and other healthy options. Jermsak is highly intelligent and is very knowledgeable about his region, the hill tribes etc. He likes to show you the real culture of his home, and gave us really good insights to many places and experiences we went to.We visited so many places over our 3 days including the spectacular white temple and blue temple, 3 different hill tribes, Mae Saelong, a tea plantation, a waterfall the Golden Triangle, and I am sure I have missed something! The piece de resistance was absolutely the rafting along the Kok river. A traditional bamboo raft, meandering down the river with an amazing feast cooked right then and there (far more food than was needed). We highly recommend Jermsak and his tour business if you visit Chiang Rai.
We spent 1 day with Jermsak and his wife. They were amazing people. The trekking tour was awesome. We visited the hill tribes, and a beatiful waterfall. We could enjoy this beatiful nature. We could get so many infos about the tribes, culture and their life. We enjoyed every minute to spend there. During the rafting tour Jermsak’s wife cooked really great lunch for us.Thank you for your incredible day.
Jermsak was great. He was super responsive on whatsapp +66846154459. We were short of time and hadn’t planned in advance. Jermsak was able to arrange and drive us around chang mai and chang rai. He booked a great homestay with an Akha family. Due to covid it was less interactive with the family than we hoped but still great experience. We visited several of the tribes in the region and saw a lovely tea plantation. The best part of our trip was when we were talking about his family and asked if it would be okay to see his home. He warmly invited us over and his wife and daughters were delightful and answered lots of questions about life in Thailand. If we were doing it again, we would request a meal with his delightful family.
