Went rock climbing with my daughter and had an amazing time. We were novices, but our instructor Guy made us feel extremely safe and explained everything in detail. We climbed a number of walls and absailed down the 8 metre and 40 metre walls. It is a very steep climb to the top but the views are sensational. It was a great experience.
Excellent experience, safe, Guy is a great instructor! Great outdoor activity during rainy days! Make sure you climb the 40m wall at the end of the day, it’s a fantastic feeling of accomplishment.
We learned about Guy and his outdoor rock climbing set up through TripAdvisor. This was only the second time that our kids ages 13 and 14 have done outdoor climbing. Guy was excellent at teaching them the fundamentals while reinforcing safety. Both of our kids had a fantastic time and learned a lot. They also got to learn how to rappel which was a completely new experience for them. This was a great experience, and one that I would recommend to anyone (experienced or new) who want to climb while in Ko Samui!
On the rocks overlooking Chaweng bay, the friendly instructor Guy teaches people how to rock climb depending on your experience level. The venue is accessible via a steep road which one should really walk up (unless really skilled at driving a scooter up)in about 5 minutes.Various climbing routes have been laid out by Guy which you can all attempt. There is even a rapelling drop off of about 40m. Guy takes the right safety measures to ensure you enjoy your climbs. No restaurant facilities on the rock but he does offer hammocks and a awesome view of the bay.A bit expensive at 2000 THB for 2 teenagers and approx 1.5 hour, but the view and the relaxed atmosphere compensated for a lot (plus got the kids back in one piece: priceless)
Great fun for people looking for something different than the regular beaches and sightseeing. Guy and Sharon were great and very professional, and guided us through the whole experience.Highly recommended!
My son and I joined Guy and Sharon today for a climbing session. Considering the type of rock on the island, Guy has made a great effort to prepare climbing routes that range from easy to very difficult. My son climbs and I climbed at least 30 years ago. We were given good instructions on climbing safety and given equipment that was well maintained. We then proceeded to have a great afternoon of climbing, with both of being challenged by the interesting route selections. Me on the easy till challenging “for my current state of fitness” to very challenging for my son. Ended the day with a nice 40m rappel.Overall a great experience and a fun day with entertaining people. I would recommend this trip to anyone wanting to experience rock climbing and want to challenge themselves. Also fun for the little ones.Thanks to Guy and Sharon
Guy was great. He was so chilled and relaxed and it made it fun for me and my family and we even took our baby . The walls have some easy climbs and some really hard climbs. So you can easily progress from easy ones and they get slightly harder with each one. Guy is an inspirational guy who set up and build the climbs with his own hands. A must-do activity while you are in Koh Samui. One of the best attractions in Koh Samui. Thanks Guy.
