Mor, the rock climbing instructor who runs this place is the best guy to go climbing with. He is the pro. He knows the climbs very well and guides you well. Don’t think twice, just go with this one and you will never forget the experience.
I had a great three-day climbing experience at Aonang Climber. And I would certainly recommend Mr. Mor (the owner of Aonang Climber) to be your climbing guide if you are a beginner or intermediate climber who is looking forward to gaining some more outdoor climbing experience in Aonang. Here are some tips/ facts to share:- Book at his shop directly and have a personal talk with him about your climbing requests. Why? Because he listens to you and will try his best to help you realize your requests.- If possible, try to book with him for more than one session if you are dedicated to improve your climbing skill. I did 3 sessions through my stay of 8 days. He has his own pace of giving instructions and he knows what he is doing. 18 years of climbing experience definitely gave him a lot of Zen.- Being a climbing guide is not easy. You are out everyday from 7:00am to 6:00pm and try to make sure that everyone has a great time while you don’t have time having lunch for yourself. I tried to help out as much as I can by carrying and organizing gear, belaying other beginners, as I don’t see myself a customer but rather a student. After all that’s what you will do when you are an independent climber anyways. Mor will appreciate it.Last but not the least, Mr.Mor is not only a great climbing instructor, but also most importantly a very very kind person.
I m used to boulder and not to climb.Mor took really care of me, my level and that I get a nice experience. I improved my skills thanks to him and face my scared of highness. We did from 5B to 6B. I have been back 2 others days to climb with him.Mor asked a special friend of him to come and speak French with me for my first day. Mor speaks a really good english (don’t do your American, even occidental don’t understand). If you are a big “Blablablablabla speaker”, you will be disappointed. Équipements/gears are for some new, some perfectly normal (probably better or same than in Europe boulder places).Spots All were good to climb with as well adventures and hiking :-))Excellente expérience.
Had an amazing climb with Mr. Mo! We got to do 3 to 4 climbs each up to 25 meters. Very friendly and helpful staff, was totally worth it!
Had a great day climbing with Mr. Mor and 3 other climbers. Mr. Mor (instructor) speaks good English so I understood his instructions and felt that the safety due to that was high. Had lunch at the beach before the last climbing session of the day started. In the group there were levels form beginner (like me) to experienced, and the instructor found climbing roots for everyone.A great experience!(Bring shoes for walking because you walk through a dark cave with some climbing)
We looked to do something a little different from lounging on the beach or by the pool for my girlfriend’s birthday, and decided upon climbing. Now, after a morning of climbing we’re back by the pool, tired, aching but feeling fantastic – what a brilliant experience!Having neither of us climbed outdoors before (there’s not too much of that in London), we went for a beginners course through our hotel. We feel fortunate this brought us to Mor (maybe book through his website to make sure you get him). He is a brilliant teacher, guide and just a very, very chilled and easy to get along with person. He speaks good English, can easily explain everything and answer questions. He was encouraging and really knew the five climbs he took us on (he’s even got a laser pen to point out where to go if you get completely stuck). We felt 100% safe with him and highly recommend. If we’re ever back in Krabi we will definitely go again!
My 16 year old son went with these guys.Highly recommend. He was Picked up early from the hotel taken in car, then long tail boat to Pangnang cave. We met him over there later. He learnt so much in such a short space of time. He ended up being the only climber but he still went ahead. Climbed some hard climbs as a beginner and loved it. Felt safe and enjoyed doing all aspects of climbing with good instructions.Thank you for looking after our boy ?
I would recommend without hesitation . Mohr is a great teacher and always looks after you . He’ll be able to adapt the schedule and the tracks to your level and speaks English very decently .Great half day option if you’re in Ao Nang !
We booked a full das trip.It was a really wonderful day. Pon was a very professionel guide. We did climbing before, so we are not beginners at all. But Pon checked everything before je trust us. We felt very safe with him. He knows all the routes and give us a lot good recommends. It was much better as rent only the Equipment.Thank you
This would be fitting and fun for less experienced climber, but if you are experienced, do ensure/verify all information before committing. Personally, I specifically asked for two things– a small group (I was told one other person– perfect) and the location (anywhere but Tonsai Beach). When I was picked up in the morning, my group ballooned to 12, and of course, we would be going to Tonsai Beach. There’s nothing wrong with Tonsai Beach if you’re a beginner climber, but it’s very public and popular, making it less than fun for more experienced people. The owner guide, nicely enough, mentioned that we had to go to that area as we had so many beginning climbers with us. Upon that news, I respectfully left the tour.I did not have any other discussions with the owner besides that explanation (this includes an apology). I thankfully was not asked to pay for the trip, though.Owner/guide seems nice enough, but limited communication skills, and the fact that he was herding 12 people, really lessened the experience…do take care before you book.
