I spent 2 full days in the national park with Jay. It was one of the best experiences of my life. He is completely honest about the fact that these are wild animals and they don’t just appear to order. But it is not just a matter of luck. If you go with an expert like Jay he will spot the animals that you would miss. He could see a whip snake on a branch as we drove past. I couldn’t see the snake when he was pointing it out from 2 metres distance. Jay will take you deep into the interior of the park on the authorised trails. There it is just you and nature. I saw large animals like elephants and gibbons but also interesting horned spiders and 4 types of harmless snakes. Jay has fantastic equipment to help you see the animals. A good camera with a additional screen, and a strong telescope. That makes watching the animals much more interesting. Jay speaks great English and can teach you masses about the animals and their habits. Jay also knows all the other guides in the park and they help each other. We were walking on a trail and a friend phoned to say that the elephants had appeared at a salt link. So we hurried there and we able to watch a large elephant family which otherwise we would have missed. One of the best experiences was seeing the bats leave their cave to fly to the forest. I thought I had seen this sort of thing before. I hadn’t. It was really extraordinary and we were the only people there to see it.So in short don’t hesitate. Don’t waste your time by going to the park on a big tour, or just going on your own. Jay”s fees is perhaps more than you thought of spending but it is excellent value. You will take away memories to last a lifetime. I have shown my photos to people who have lived in Thailand for years who have never seen these wonderful things. I’ll be going back for more in a couple of months time.
A 2-day private tour with Jum and Bpoo was really a great experience ! They spot animals you wouldn’t see by yourself, give very valuable information, provide high-quality binocular for a unique experience.No comparison with a group tour (we did it in the past).We highly recommand anyone who want to spend time in KhaoYai to contact them
We did a 2 day trip with Jay. He’s an extremely kind guy and really takes his time to show you the natural park and its hidden beauties. You can see the passion in his eyes when he spots wildlife and can show it to you. During the trip we did a couple of hikes in the forest, visited the waterfall, and finished of with a night safari. There is a good road in the park and while driving from one place to another, you will also spot some wildlife. We saw many kind of animals, such as different kinds of of hornbills, snakes, water monitors, a lizard, elephants, white handed gibbons, jackals, gaurs, a civet, deer, porcupines, birds… I really advise to do a 2 day trip to increase chances of seeing different kinds of animals. A third day does not add that much value. I was also impressed by the The Khao Yai park itself. The roads through a part of the park make it accessible by car, increasing the chances to see animals
Had an absolutely phenomenal tour with Jay in early January. We did two days in the park, with Jay driving us around to various spots of interest. We were constantly floored at how good he was at spotting wildlife: a thin, white whip snake camouflaged amongst branches on the other side of the road whilst driving, a pit viper in a tree that he somehow spotted with binoculars across a river, tiny birds, gibbons, civets, giant squirrels…the list goes on and on. Jay knows exactly where to look and we wouldn’t have seen a fraction of the wildlife we did without him. He is also clearly passionate about his job and knows so much about the park and the animals within it. His high-quality telescope and binoculars also help make the animal spotting that much better.Thank you so much for the amazing experience, Jay. It was the highlight of our trip!
The atmosphere here is very good, very natural. Coming to relax here is considered very good. Recharges energy very well Being able to live with the pure air is amazing.
We had an unforgettable trip with our amazing guide Intira who i part of Jay’s team. Her level of knowledge and her love for the wildlife in Khao Yai could be felt constantly, she was a pure delight and it felt like a luxury having her introduce us to this incredible park. We saw so many big and small animals and learned so much, and especially our eight-year-old son was glowing from the experience. We felt so lucky to have had her a our guide.
Thanks to Intira and her passion for nature, we have discovered Khoa Yoi park . We saw plenty of animals: hornbills, Gibbons, snakes, giant squirrel, birds etc…and we got many explanations about trees and plants. The flight of bats ,at the end of the day, was spectacular. We highly recommend.
We were so pleased to have Jay as our guide to Khao Yai National Park. He was friendly, organised, extremely knowledgable and easy-going. He knew where and when to look and has the ability to spot animals high up in the trees even while driving! We saw far more animals than we dared hope for, including giant black squirrels; gibbons; a civet; hornbills scouting out their nest; an owl and its chick; a jackal; porcupines; nightjars; and even an elephant. A thoroughly informative and enjoyable two-day safari.
This was a very nice experience.Poo and Noy (sorry if I misspell) did their very best to show us as much animals as possible. We did see snakes, lots of birds (the Great Hornbill did leave a big impression), spiders, buffels, porcupines, several different monkeys, … and an aggressive Elephant 🙂 This was a day to remember.If you would visit the Khao Yai jungle as well, do not forget the night safari, and book Jay Jungle Tours.
I just spent two wonderful days with Bpoo and Jay in Khao Yai National Park. I didn’t know what to expect from this visit but both Bpoo and Jay did everything to exceed all my expectations. From the minute they picked me up from the hotel, they answered all my questions and were a wealth of information. Although one cannot predict wildlife, seeing gibbons was at the top of my list and both of them ensured that we saw all types of gibbons at the park. We also managed to see 3/4 of the types of hornbills. In addition, we saw elephants, woodpecker, snake, deer, eagle, scorpions and squirrels. I absolutely loved my time with them both and will definitely be back to the park for another tour with them! Do not hesitate to book a tour with them – you will not be disappointed!
