We went on the Grand Pearl day trip to Ayutthaya which included a lunch cruise back to Bangkok. Despite me having informed our tour guide in the morning before boarding the bus of my son’s peanut allergy and despite the assurances of the chef on the boat that peanuts were not used in the cooking, my son suffered an anaphylactic attack on board the ship immediately after eating. We ended up in the hospital that evening where he was treated. Despite the obvious extra costs this resulted in, it created extreme stress and fear the rest of our vacation. In our two weeks in Thailand, the only issue we ever had with an allergic attack was on the Grand Pearl river cruise. When I called to complain the next day, the manager didn’t even offer a refund – to add insult to injury. I would never recommend this cruise to anyone with any dietary restrictions.
Good service the quality of food are good, But please make more sweet or refil it we plan to take some cheesecake but too fast running out
Cruise was good, food was OK nothing spectacular. Good value for the money spent. No issues with the duration.
The Grand Pearl leaves off from the River City dock which is in the most awesome spot in the city… Cruising down the river to see all of the temples and bridges all lit up it’s worth the trip… The dinner is pretty tasty too… And we had a lot of fun with a live band – for the price of the ticket at $60 it is a fantastic value and a real highlight of the city!!Fun 🙂
I just can’t believe that a business like this still exist.I have requested for cancellation, but they have ignored it for several days on purpose. After several emails, they have finally responded with very short notice that they will look on it. They promised that they will reach me shortly, but they obviously didn’t.I have sent several emails past week to request for updates, but they still have not responded.The ticket is due in two days, and they are not willing to respond at all. So I guess I will just not get a refund at all.Either they are too lazy to do work, or they are purposely avoiding my emails to not give a refund. Either way, their customer service is the worst.
We bought tickets from their office in River City. Even in these Covid-19 days the cruise was fully booked, and there were many tourgroups. We were lucky and got a table outside, and the best thing with this cruise is the opportunity just to sit and enjoy the view and the sights one passes on the way. The buffet was better than expected. The service was also better than expected.
Worth doing and the food was excellent, as was the entertainment. As a tourist would have been nice to know where we were going past but very impressive. Drinks could have been better is only improvement but staff were efficient.
