  1. We the best time doing this cookery class and the food was amazing. We really enjoyed the walk around the markets, to places we wouldn’t have found otherwise and tried foods we also wouldn’t have tried. Wonderful teacher too, she had excellent English and was really friendly. Wouldn’t hesitate recommending this to anyone.

  2. I learned to make Satay Sauce, Pad Thai, Green curry, Red curry and a few others. She patient and knows what she’s doing.

  3. Gail at Lemongrass was delightful! Such a lovely lady, and the class was fantastic! I learned 6 really tasty dishes….we visited local markets, she explained so many things, introduced me to many new ingredients and i even got to see how rice paper is made! We had many a nice chat about local life and food…I would highly recommend his cooking class to anyone visiting Bangkok…It was a real highlight of my trip…..thank you 🙂

  4. Gayle gave us such a fun afternoon cooking class! We learned how to cook multiple dishes including curry (with curry paste from scratch!!) pad Thai, spring rolls and mango sticky rice. We were so full by the end it was all so delicious I couldn’t believe that I had cooked it myself! We also went to a local market to buy the produce fresh which was very interesting. She gave us a printed copy of all the recipes and instructions for the dishes we made and I plan to practice them once I get home! I would say I am below average on cooking skill but Gayle made me feel confident using the wok. I would highly recommend!!

  5. Being frequent visitors of Bangkok for business my mother and I finally took a break from shopping and decided to do a cooking class. We were met at our hotel by Gale, our cooking instructor, and walked to a thai grocery store or two as well as visiting a fresh market where she taught and explained to us more about the different ingredients we were about to use in our class. She understands and speaks English very well and was able to answer and converse with us about all our other questions about thai food and culture even though it might not have been part of our curriculum for the day. We even saw a master in her craft busy making fresh rice paper that we would later use to make our deep fried spring rolls. The class is hands on and she explains everything really well. You make and eat about 9 recipes… so be sure not to eat breakfast as you will want to finish what you’ve been cooking. All and all it was a fabulous day filled with food and a great teacher. Definitely worth a try when you’re in Bangkok and you love thai food.

  6. I attended this cooking class as a solo participant. I really enjoyed the walk in and around Khao San Road, and the markets. The instructor took the time to explain thorough details of the recipe, and the outcome was delicious!

  7. After the hundreds of temples we saw during our stay in Thailand we wanted to enjoy something different during our last 2 days in Bangkok. As we fell in love with the Thai cuisine, we searched for a cooking class.Lemongrass it was, good ranking in google, good reviews over here, we were up for it.Gaeo welcomed us and a few others, Germans I remember, and we started with the tour. First, we got to see where the ingredients are bought. The local markets fascinate me a lot, over here in Thailand you can see plenty of them. We also tried some fruits, we tried them first in our resort though but not all do what we did. Then to the kitchen.Gaeo was during the entire time very attentive and fun. His English is a 7.5/10, absolutely sufficient. Explanations were shared and everyone had several dishes at the end. The kitchen didn’t get too warm, something I was worried about first but all good. Our food again, 11/10 points. Do it yourself made it even more delicious. Lemongrass is for us our highlight in Bangkok, good atmosphere and good food. There’s nothing better. Thanks Gaeo!

  8. Gaeo is amazing! She’s friendly and patient. I loved learning from her. I was super happy that all the dishes were mild in spice. I wouldn’t be able to eat them if they spicy but I’m sure Gaeo would accomodate you if you wanted your dishes to be spicy. Definitely take her class. The whole experience was enriching. I will be back next time I visit Bangkok.

  9. We had such a fantastic time at the cooking class run by Gaeo. I had accidentally booked the cooking class for the a few weeks after I wanted the class online (whoops!), Gaeo was very responsive on what’s app and there were no worries on changing the date to the correct one.Walking through the markets and getting shown first hand where the food is purchased from was great. Something we wouldn’t have seen otherwise! The dishes cooked were all delicious and there were no issues when I mentioned I didn’t eat seafood. Would highly recommend this half day cooking class whilst in Bangkok, it was so nice to switch off from the hustle and bustle for a little while and be rewarded with a tasty outcome. You will not go hungry! I found so many cooking classes online that I didn’t know what to book but I would highly recommend this intimate class!!

  10. Thanks Gaeo. This was such a great morning. The dishes we cooked were amazing and we can’t wait to do them again when we get home. This had a real feeling of authenticity about it – a complete break from the Bangkok tourist-trap treadmill. We would do this again in a flash.
