I took a bus to Pattaya last month. I was very impressed. I took the bus once and went around Pattaya. I took pictures and chilled out. I didn’t have to drive myself. The staff gave me great advice. The driver also provided great service. 10/10 🎉❤️
I knew about the problem with Bangkok traffic so I built in some flexibility of time (this is not a tour to take if your time is tight). We picked up the 12.30pm bus at Siam Centre, the starting point. It was on time and we enjoyed the tour to bus stop No. 10 for Wat Pho and the Reclining Buddah.After Wat Pho and a look at the Grand Palace from outside (long queues to go inside) we crossed the river by ferry to Wat Arun. After a short visit we went in search of Bus Stop No. 12 to pick up the bus tour once more. This wasn’t easy, the brochure describes it as outside a chicken and rice cafe. There were several chicken and rice cafes on Arun Ammarin Road!! The bus stop (found by asking at several shops until we dropped on an ice cream store beside the stop with a helpful assistant) was not marked with a red “City Sightseeing” sign. There were two other couples there when we arrived at 2.30pm. We confirmed with each other that we were all waiting for the “City Sightseeing” bus. At 3.20pm, (after 50 minutes), no bus had arrived so we flagged a taxi to get us back across the city to the place where we needed to be by 5pm. I complained about the 50 minute wait to the Bangkok operator Elepant GoGo. I received no response. When I got home after my extended holidays I complained to City Sightseeing HQ. They responded to say that, as they had received no other complaints from the day of our tour, they were offering no refund (and, by the way, no apology). Disappointing.
