We did the tour of Phi Phi Islands while on our trip to Phuket and it was the best day of the holiday!! Our tour guide was Mr Boy and he made the whole day incredibly fun!! They had plenty of ice cold water and soft drink and would make sure we had everything we needed! Plenty of fruit and snacks as well!! We saw monkey beach but didn’t get off the boat which I thought was good – the monkeys can be aggressive! Having the photographer all day was great too!! We made some great memories on this trip!! I wish we had visited James Bond Island with this company as well!
Firstly, our guide Pairry was amazing. He made the tour that much more entertaining. The other crew were friendly too. We booked through our hotel concierge and had no problems. Everything was on time and organised. The boat was overcrowded and a few of us stood for majority of the ride, I didn’t mind so much but it’s not ok. Luckily everyone on board came with a good attitude. Pairry apologised for this and took a photo to send to his boss to show him the overcrowding. The first stop Khai Nai island was a disappointment. I would recommend removing this island from the trip completely. We stopped here for snorkelling and relaxing, however the beach and the water was so so dirty. There was plastic, cigarettes butts and even nappies floating in the water we were meant to snorkel in, and there wasn’t much to see underwater. This island will soon be destroyed if there are not limits put in place as to how many people can visit per day and cleaned up! After that stop, the tour experience went up. Canoeing was great and lunch on the floating village exceeded expectations! I expected a similar lunch to past tours I’ve been on of rice and dodgy looking fried chicken, but this lunch was great. A big buffet with Thai and western food, everyone loved it. James Bond island was what you’d expect, an island to stop and take photos and Pairry’s ‘special island’ that we stopped at on the way back was much nicer than the first island, clean, quieter and pretty.Overall I was pleasantly surprised with the tour and would recommend it, just don’t expect much from Khai Nai island.
We had a great time on this tour. Phi Phi Island, Monkey Beach and two other stops. Sexy Linda, our tour guide, was hilarious. Good value trip and we would recommend Phang Nga Eco Tours, they ticked all the boxes.
Fantastic and fun day out with our guide “Sexy Linda” to James Bond Island then canoeing through the caves – this was the most amazing experience! like entering another world. We were so well looked after with lots of drinks, fruit and lunch provided at the floating muslim village which was also another must see.
My family and I took the Phang Nga Speed Boat our in August and the administration, hotel pick and the trip there and back was very professional and friendly and well organised. But our first stop was Khai Nai island for snorkelling for an hour, this place was overrun, crowded and the water was less than perfect, but to be fair it was the wet season and the river and stream run off has that effect. The Speed boat crew were very professional and the trip north to a little Muslim community for lunch was excellent, this little community is built in stilts over the water and has been there for 300 years, quiet fascinating.James Bond island was crowded, but worth the visit for the pop culture bucket list tick off. Just be aware there is no paper for the toilets its a water only facility, so no surprises.Net stop was the canoeing part of the tour and this was well coordinated and there was some great sights, caves and monkeys, the kids really enjoyed this and tour guides really played their part and took much better photo’s than I of the family with my camera.Overall, the season and crowds played there part, but the tour team and the sites visited made this a great day out.
This speed boat full day tour is definitely worth while and a well managed. You see Monkey Island, Viking cave, Bamboo Island and much more. You do snorkeling, swim in the sea and have a Thai lunch. It is a full day and you have enough refreshments. Sunscreen is a must on this trip.
We chose day trip to James Bond Island.Well organised from Hotel pickup to return.Speedboat to islands, for Kayak, Island lunch, Muslim village, relaxing on beach. Our guide “Bond” was very informative and amusing.
The tour was packed with activities, from 10am all the way to 5pm~ via longboat (for a quicker travel you can pay a bit more for the speedboat). Our tour guide, Mr Sulaiman was a very, very funny guy and our trip was filled with laughter throughout the entire journey. The other guides were also very helpful and kind. It was raining heavily when we were about to go to the James Bond island but it was a rare opportunity to be travelling through the tropical rain. Somehow, it did not make our tour worse; instead it was a unique one. The food served on board was pleasant as well. We hope to see Mr Sulaiman again! Recommended.
My sister and I booked the Phi Phi Islands by speedboat tour via Buffalo Tours. Our guide, Mr Boy, was hilarious and so enthusiastic which really helped make the trip amazing! He was very informative and kept us updated as we ended up going to a different island than planned due to low tide. The boat ride out to Phi Phi was about an hour long. It was quite bumpy and rough at times, which was no issue to us, but might not be suited to those with bad sea sickness or for younger children. The first islands were busy, as should be expected unless you book an early morning tour. While there were dozens of boats and hundreds of tourists, we still managed to have a nice swim, explore around, and take a lot of photos. If you’re coming on one of these tours don’t expect empty beaches or you’ll only be disappointed – these are tourism hotspots so will be busy but it didn’t completed ruin our experience at all.Snorkelling was great! We had around an hour and saw lots of tropical fish in the waters and the location was very scenic. I found it was just enough time as you do get tired being in the sun/swimming/boating for the whole day.Lunch was buffet style in a hotel on the main Phi Phi island. The place was spacious and the food was decent, overall it was a good experience and we had some time to explore the shops after. Definitely make use of the toilet facilities as on the smaller islands the toilets are quite dirty and gross. The last island we went to (“Pearl” Island) was beautiful and a lot less busy than the others. The swimming was amazing here (a bit of a strong current so only for stronger swimmers) and the beaches beautiful to lay on or for photos. I do wish we had a bit longer here to explore as it was so nice!Overall we really enjoyed this trip! As long as you aren’t expecting to be the only ones on the beaches and you make the most of each stop, you’ll love it! Very family friendly it seemed, and they offer you so many refreshments/snacks on the boat which is perfect. I would recommend for sure!
This is a must do activity if you are in Phuket. Everyone does it, its croweded. All companies have the same speed boats and schedule. Ours had lunch in a separate island , that was nice only the 30 ppl in our boat was there at lunch time. The company was Satakamon Marine Co. This tour includes lunch , snorkeling stops, and monkeys sightseeing. The tour cost $1,500 Baht. Do not pay more, if you pay more you should get a private boat more exclusive service. I purchase this on the street , becuase happend to be there and paid $3,000 Bath. I am just including this in the review for your reference, this tours are very popular and not exclusive so do not pay more. The brochure I was given said $3,000Bath but everyone in my boat paid less, so ask all the questions and try to book it at your hotel if possible. Attached picture of the booth were I bought my ticket, do not buy from here. The stand is located on Haat Patong Rd, Patong Beach. There is a hotel called Nap, then an exchnage money place then this TA stand selling activities, right next to the Aspery restuarant. Do not contract services from this place. Other than this enjoy the beautiful waters, take pictures with the monkeys, great snorkeling and crowded beach, you will meet lots of ppl.
