Thanks Willem for the great tour of Pattaya! We did the four hour bike ride touring the North part of Pattaya and it was an excellent experience. Willem was a great guide operator who explained in detailed the history on the different parts along the tour that we stopped and visited. He was generous with his time and was only too happy to answer our questions. Going to the fish market was a great experience seeing the fresh crabs! The tour was one of our highlights of our visit to Pattaya and I would recommend anyone to go on it. The icy cold beer at the end of the ride was a nice treat!John/Roger and Peter
Had a free day in late November 2018, so decided to try out the bike tour. Went on their general tour of the area at 9:30 am, which is their most popular tour. Overall good experience, Williem (one of the owners) is a nice guy and quite knowledgeable about the area. Rode through small back streets in the local neighborhoods not normally traveled through by tourists, and visited a local fishmarket. Saw a couple temples including a recently built all-white temple. Williem was a good host and had us try the local foods. There was one minor situation with a bike chain that popped off, requiring Williem to go back and get another bike. The bikes are a bit older and could use some good greasing. But we had a nice time overall because of our good host.
Outstanding bike ride today to see what “REAL” Pattaya is about. Local fishing pier, fish market, many temples, ride along canals and back alleys, colorful homes, simple markets, and taste testing along the way including fresh grilled squid and fried bananas. And no tourists anywhere. Highly recommended for those looking for real and some good exercise as well.
We went on a tour with Willem, who was an excellent guide. He knows every little street in town so we zig-zaged our way around along the streets we would never see on our own. The highlight things were: the big wooden temple, fishermans pier, fish market, thai boxing gym. another impressive wooden building resembling a museum and temple, white temple… Also stops along our way to get some fried squid and delicious fried bananas were worth the effort. We felt safe in the company of Willem even the traffic is dense at some parts. Willem also knows a lot about life in Thailand so dont stop asking….
Very nice bike trip,if you want to see something else from the tourist streets try this bike trip, very nice and interesting, lots of places you never will see if you not choose this guided tour, will be back next year for another tripThanks !
Joy and Wilhem did a fantastic job of showing us the unique sides of their wonderful city. The bikes were comfortable and the routes were perfect.
This bike tour was relaxing and enjoyable. The guide was an expat from the Netherlands. He did not overwhelm us with unnecessary information, but rather engaged in interesting conversation that made the morning a great experience. The route was comfortable and we got exposed to a side of Pattaya that we would have never seen otherwise.
I have been travelling to Pattaya for years. But today I did the Colours of Pattaya bike tour with Willem and I saw a very different side to Pattaya. The trip was amazing, interesting and very informative. I really learnt a lot.The riding was at a good pace, there was plenty of time to stop and enjoy the view and we visited interesting places. Willem is very well informed about Pattaya. The fishing pier and fish market were both fascinating. Willem also went to some rural areas where you can see the regular pace of life for many local people. We also visited some beautiful old buildings, temples and a kick boxing camp. I thought this was a very enjoyable and worthwhile trip. It was great to be riding around but Willem’s route really does avoid the traffic.. I would highly recommend this interesting and fun day trip.
First of all, Joy was great. Super nice person and took great care of me.Secondly, the tour was a lot of fun (I did the bike and Muay Thai tour). The ride was probably 12 miles total and was mostly flat. You do have to cross some busy streets, but it wasn’t anything scary. The bike ride itself was just ok. Other than the places we stopped at (fishing pier, fishing market, Chinese temple, Wats etc), the surrounding areas were not very pretty or scenic, and were more of just a way to get from point A to point B. So although I enjoyed the stopping points and the exercise, the ride itself is nothing to write home about.Lastly, the Muay Thai lesson was a blast!! I’m an old guy, but this was a ton of fun. It was my first time doing any type of “combat sport” training and I loved it. Spent an hour 1-on-1 with a trainer learning how to punch, kick, elbow, and knee people. I was definitely tired afterwards, but SO worth it! One of the highlights of my time in Pattaya.
