Myself & my two sons (19yrs & 17yrs) had a great time on an Orange Wave jet ski safari. The jet skis were all in great condition and thoroughly checked for damage before we set off. We had two guides along with us which meant we felt completely safe during the trip. I would recommend this trip to anyone who enjoys jet skiing and wants to do more than run up & down the beach. Beach hopping on a jet ski – fantastic fun.
Lots of fun for the kids and trustful place. We did the banana and soda ride. We would have don’t the jet ski but didn’t have time. I trust this place and not scam.
We booked a 3 hour jet ski safari which would take us from Bophut to Pig Island, which is the full length of the island, so definitely more jet skiing than lounging around on a beach. Unfortunately, due to bad weather, the original booking was postponed. The next booking meant we were staying in a different part of the island (Lamai) but it was no problem. Lukas arranged for us to be picked up and returned to our hotel, excellent communication and service.The trip itself was excellent. Good instruction and supervision, with safety and welfare their primary concern. With the distance involved, getting to Pig Island, we experienced varying sea conditions from big swells to flat calm and as long as you use common sense, the whole experience was exhilarating and great fun. You are given licence, in the right conditions, to open up the throttle and experience what the machine is capable of.The 30 minute visit to Pig Island was nice, saw some free range pigs, fed them, walked around the beaches for a bit…..but, I could not wait to get back on the ski and get back out on the water.The return journey was ‘with the tide’ so was a lot smoother and was an even better experience than the outward journey, more throttle, more fun !!Thank you guys for a fantastic safari and when I return to the island the first thing I book will probably be your 5 hour trip !
A very professional place to be to have fun. I had read so many reviews of scammers who would rent out Jet Skis and charge you claiming damages. I did a lot of homework before I choose Orange Wave. They really really were so professional in every sense. We were a family of 8 renting 6 jet skis. We had 4 teen aged boys who were 16. They really briefed all the boys well with dos and donts. We also had 2 guides from the company who accompanied us on the tour. The tour itself was for about 3 hours. We basically rode to another island ( Ko Pha Ngan ) where we went off to a lovely water falls. We spent about 30 minutes there and from there we rode again to the most beautiful beach. The water was absolutely amazing and we parked our jet skis on the beach and had another 30 minutes on the water and then we rode back. In all it was an awesome experience. Our kids just loved every minute of it. Our guide Betwo was just too good and patient with the group. Would surely come back again 🙂🙂🙂
We did the 3 hrs jet ski safari, they have new jet ski. Very good location at Fisherman’s Village.They have many watersports activity and atv safari tour as well.
My 8YO son and I did the 2 hour ATV Safari and I would thoroughly recommend it. Having not driven an ATV before and having my son with me it was a bit of a gamble – but it totally paid off. We both had a great time – he even wanted to go again (unfortunately we didn’t have time this trip – but would go again). The instructors were amazing – so caring and supportive – even though we were in a larger group they still took time and care with us (I did the driving obviously) but they were caring to us both. The drive from Outrigger (where we stayed) was longer than expected BUT it was worth it. In the reviews I read before going there was not much information on doing this with younger children – so wanted to help others with this view for the future.
My partner and I ended up in hospital because of Orange Wave do not take safety seriously and do not maintain their ATVs properly.We did a 2 hour ATV tour. I was driving with my fiancée on the back. On a steep stretch of road the brakes completely failed. It was the scariest moment of my life. The path continued to get steeper and steeper and we had to crash to stop the bike.We ended up in hospital for six days with six fractured ribs and a broken shoulder. We were very lucky it could have been much much worse.We were given very little instruction on how to drive the bike. The tour guides were drinking something out of plastic coke bottles that was not coke. At the top of the hill, the guides poured water on the brakes to cool them down and steam billowed off them.After the crash, the guides tried to get my fiancée to her feet immediately, refused to call an ambulance, made loud animated phone calls around her, and generally increased stress levels without helping in any way.The guides assured us that Orange Wave would pay for our hospital treatment. Later, the owner refused to pay any hospital bills, and claimed we must have been driving badly. This means there have been no actions from Orange Wave to stop this from happening again.They accepted no responsibility for their faulty brakes. Their ATVs are not fit for the steep paths of the tour. We were very lucky to have escaped with only a ruined holiday and a £4000 hospital bill. This company will get someone killed. Please choose someone else! DO NOT RISK IT!
Waited for 45 minutes in the morning. Nobody told us why. After we finally reached jet skies, almost not instructions, just went to the sea. And then were rushing like crazy to Pig Island on big waves, with 2 small stops. After that 30 min on Pig Island and back again the same way. Only one small stop in between, not even enough for a sip of water. When we come back there was this guy screaming on us like a maniac that we are late and he has afternoon group. Ok, who’s fault it was?! We were waiting for 45 minutes in the morning for no reason. The whole beach was watching when this maniac was screaming on us. I did a jet ski tour on Langkawi and this was amazing. This one in Koh Samui is horrible, it’s just rushing on one island and back and it’s not even close to Safari tour as they advertise it. Definitely not recommended and this kind of riding is demanding. They should at least warn us beforehand. There war 3 of us all of us have bruises and pain from riding on big waves with average speed of 25 knots at least.
I would agree with Vid S in the March 2024 review. Booked this through Koh Tours. Didn’t know what company was actually running the excursion until we got picked up at our hotel. We have jet skied before for perspective’s sake. Two minutes of instruction in broken English. Guide never did even tell us his name. Then we set off at top speed in relatively rough conditions. Took 1 hr 15 min to get to our first “destination” which was never named. I believe it was Koh Tean. After 30 minutes of snorkeling which was terrible, we set off to our second destination, Koh Mat Sum (Pig Island). Spent 40 minutes there on the beach which has a ticky-tack refreshment station, stray dogs everywhere and pigs walking around. And the smell of the toilets. Terrible. Then back another 1 hr 15 min to Koh Samui. Do yourself a favor and skip it.
We are a family of 5 and we did an amazing one hour safari with a guide, it was the best time!!!Look for Thomas, he is the best and we will recommend the best family adventure for you!
