Plantation is one of the best courses I have ever played. It was in pristine condition and has 27 awesome holes. Clubhouse facilities were excellent. In my opinion a better layout than the Siam Old Couse where the Women’s LPGA tournament is held. Can’t wait to play there again. My only criticism of the Siam courses is the cost as they are very expensive to play.
Prefect course condition and beautiful clubhouse. One of the top qualities in Thailand for sure. LPGA tournament was happened there. 1h and half from Bangkok by car. And 30mins drive to Pattaya. Just stunning, comparable to black mt in hua hin. Must play challenging course, long, immaculate and very well designed. played the tapioca and Pineapple both were very interesting 9’s but wanted to play Sugarcane 9, bit of regret that it was closed because of a tournament. never the less any of the 9s are worth playing. Maintenance lvl is very high and the facilities are stunning. No. 1 choice in pattaya, must play

Played here couple years back and not really found it fantastic in terms of the service and scenery.Came back 2nd time and tried all the 27H here hoping to see if I can upgrade it to 5 STARS, but nope. The Old Course still feels much better.We were late for our tee-off as the driver lost its way. But that’s alright because we got all day. They kindly deferred our tee-off time to 1 hour later which was fine too but had to rush us from our coffee and range mid-way to tee-off before stipulated 9am as the crowd has cleared. After 18H, we expect to stop for a short lunch break but marshall forbade it and expect us to play 27H without any break/meal. We ended up rushing for cup noodles and dumplings within 10 mins. This was the 5 stars to 4 downgrade part. They dictated every part of our golf timings, it just shows how the club does not really value one-off holiday golfers like us. I recalled Old Course had better control on this the last time we playedTheir elevated greens posed challenge most of the time as I remembered few of us got a 8 or 10 in the starting hole of Pineapple followed by Tapioca because the balls kept rolling back when we tried to chip onto the green. Tip – just chip it over and you might have a chance the ball rolls backwards towards the flag. Great course with nice pristine fairways as what you would expect from Siam CC courses. Extremely fast greens as well and what you would see from top courses in Pattaya. Locker facilities are all excellent. Some burnt rough along the 2nd cut clearly visible but that’s not where you want your ball to land so it’s alright.Overall, as much as I love this brand name, but not on this particular ‘plantation’ and would prefer we’d chose the old course over this unless you want to play 9 more holes as 18 is not enough for you. This course remained at 4 Stars while I will shortly upgrade Chee Chan from 4 to 5 in my next review.
We (7) played golf at Siam Country Club Plantation. The caddies were friendly. The golf course is wonderful and challenging. The club house is beautiful.
Everything excellent up until the staff came to our table in the clubhouse begging for more tips as they said we didn’t tip enough like WTAF ! Had spent 7500 baht to hire clubs and golf , tipped the caddy on the 18th hole and still wasn’t good enough .Really left a bad taste in the mouth especially considering we were not even aware we had to tip !!! Be aware or stand your ground as I thought tips were optional. Pay the caddies more from your exorbitant green fees then mall will be happy .
