We book a half day cooking experience for 3 adults and a teenager.Slightly off the beaten track so advise you get a number from Kik when booking do that your taxi driver can call her.We made 4 dishes (each person could choose from a large menu) Kik was very flexible allowing us to make different dishes. We are all vegetarian.We also learnt to make a starter (spring rolls) and dessert (mango sticky rice). The mango were the best ever! Kik was very informative, friendly and a fantastic teacher.Can’t recommend this enough. You won’t be disappointed.
After scheduling the class hours and dates we choosed what dishes to make. The day arrived and I was so excited. First of all, the place is amazing, surrounded by trees in the middle of the jungle, we were welcomed by the owner’s cute dogs.Aftereeting the stuff we sat around the table and Ki (the owner/Chef) explained about our dished and ingredients. She is very kind, polite and happy. We ate alot and got our leftovers as T.A. Ki even got us free gifts. Everything was so professional and outstanding.
This is a must do when you are on the island! Kik’s little cooking school is a beautiful small little oasis. You will be greeted super friendly, everything is incredibly clean. The cooking of the dishes and flavor profiles of Thai cuisine are explained in a great way and Kik has a super positive energy. I can’t wait to try out all of the things I’ve learned at home.
We literally had SO much fun, we were able to choose 3 dishes to cook and as we wanted to learn curry pastes we chose: Massaman, Khao Soi and Green Curry. We were greated with a butterfly pea pandan drink which tasted like sticky rice / and coconut. Kik was so good at showing us how to cook the currys and helped us with everystage. You can then eat at the table each of your dishes and take away anything you can’t finish. We loved it!A must in Koh Phagnan.
Our family had the most wonderful lesson with Kik. From the moment we arrived we felt at home in her beautiful outdoor kitchen. We learned so much about local ingredients and spices, new recipes and techniques and best of all her teaching was so accessible that we will absolutely use these skills at home (we are planning to host a lot of Thai dinners for our lucky friends). She even sent us home with spices and recipes. This will be one of your most memorable experiences of your time in Thailand.

Kik (owner) made us really feel at home. She was lovely and really clear and precise with her cooking instructions in English. We made 3 lovely courses which were all delicious and authentic. It gave us a great introduction to the Thai cuisine and a good understanding of flavours. Would definitely recommend this cooking class to everyone (all ages).
