I am impressed with perfect organisation of this full day snorkeling tour. I like all those Early Bird trips as all crowds are avoided. Everything was very well prepared – from welcome in the pier to choice of snorkeling points, lunch, relax time etc.I agree with all earlier reviews – so if you don’t like crowded trips but quality and care are important to you – Xtra Holiday is the right choice.It was a real pleasure to meet them.
Day excursion to the Similan Islands. I was so glad we picked this company for this trip. They time the trip to miss the crowds as much as possible. Food and soft drink is provided throughout the day. They even provide reusable water bottles as they are trying to reduce the use of plastics. You are not squeezed together on the boat unlike other tours we saw. The snorkeling was amazing. I also felt very safe as the guides get in the water with you and keep everyone together. This day was easily one of our holiday highlights I will never forget it. I don’t think the day would have been as special if we had not chosen this company.
I was on a tour today with the amazing Tour Guide Gift. She was so friendly, kind and had so much knowledge to share. I traveled alone and she took so many amazing pictures of me, now I have great memories.We went to the museum and memorial of the tsunami, I learned a lot and it was quite impressive. I had a great time in the mangroves on our kayak tour, we saw snakes and other animals. The walk through the old town had been interesting, we had really nice authentic Thai lunch (vegetarian as requested). Later I was able to make my own little bag (hand sewed) with the help of a very friendly girl in a local shop. Great souvenir! In the end we visited an impressive temple, I learned a lot about Buddha and Buddhism, before we also visited a Chinese temple.The driver had been very friendly, I felt very secure. TheMinivan was cold and clean. They had cold drinks with them as well as a rain jacket that we thankfully didn’t need. Had a great day, laughed and learned a lot. Thank you!
We did a early bird day tour to Similan Islands with Giff, Camille and team and it was a truly memorable experience. I had my 74 yr old mom with me, neither of us know swimming and we’re 1st time snorkellers. Giff was extremely patient and encouraging with both of us and ensured we both got a once in a lifetime experience. On the climb up to sail rock on Island 8, both Giff and Camille walked all the way with my mom and again were very patient and careful with her.The mood was light and fun through the day, rounding up with delicious mango ice cream on our way pack to the pier.Would especially recommend xtra holidays for novice snorkellers and people travelling with olders since these guys were really good with us.
After canceling our trip with another company we chose them. In fact, they are the only ones that depart from the Baan Nam Khem Pier which will save you plenty of time for transfer to the pier/islands if you stay in the North of Khao Lak.We were 15 passengers and 3 (!) guides (English, French, German). Everything was organized excellent, the 3 snorkeling spots were awesome.Highly recommended company with wonderful friendly staff.
My 15 year old daughter and myself went on the Similan Islands trip on Boxing Day. I did a lot of research before choosing a company. We were a small group of 13 which was great and Kiwi was our guide for the day. she was very fun and friendly. I am a non swimmer but they allowed me to experience snorkelling for the first time. I wore a life jacket, held on to a ring and was pulled around by Kiwi on the first stop and another guide (sorry dont know his name) on the 2nd stop, thank you so much as it was amazing and I felt very safe! The day went very smoothly, lunch and drinks were provided and Kiwi was also took lots of photos of us. I would highly recommend this company if wanting to visit the Similan Islands.
We chose their VIP snorkeling tour to Surin Islands because of their convenient time table as well as the fact that they only took 28 passengers onboard.We were not disappointed. Everything from start to finish was perfect. Plenty of soft drinks and snacks and a nice lunch. All this in addition to the main thing, wonderful snorkling which we got to do three sets of 40 minutes.A special mention goes to the crew who were super nice and efficient.A great tour for a decent price, highly recommended.
Great day out to Surin Island. We arrived at the National park before any others boats. Staff on the boat were attentive and knowledgeable. They spoke English, German, French and Thai.Lunch was great and the snorkelling was good.
I did Sulim Islands day trip and Surin Islands trip with this company and really liked both. The staff was amazing and very caring. Both trips were very well-organized.
We booked the tour to Surin Islands and Elephant welfare for kids. The response and service through Messenger was really great and they answered right away. We loved both tours but the day we went to Surin Islands with Dawn and the rest of the Crew was really wonderful. The service and patience with our kids (5 and 7) to feel safe and good all the way was fantastic. Xtra holiday goes out much earlier than other companies and even though it was s bit early, it was perfect because we did not meet a lot of people and had lunch before it got crowded.We would go again and recommend other families to go with them.
