A lovely day with plenty to choose fromLots of beautiful scenery, snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, nice lunch onboard, an energetic (not on my todo list) climb to the top of a (from where I stood) mountain, lazing on the (?) roof of the boat for the return trip to Samui
We enjoyed a fantastic one-day tour to Angthong Marinepark visiting all kinds of beautiful places with lots of different activities like kayaking, climbing up to exciting viewpoints, swiming, snorkeling, etc. All well organized from the beginning at the morning when being picked up at our ressort until the end when returning. Tranks for a wonderful and memorable time spent on this trip.
We picked this company because of the great reviews and they delivered. The staff were excellent and spoke lots of different languages. The food was fresh and soft drinks and water were provided throughout the whole day. We really enjoyed the kayaking and the viewpoint walk but I would highly recommend bribing proper shoes. This isn’t some 20 minute easy walk it’s extremely steep and very humid. The only part we didn’t enjoy was the snorkelling, the water was murky and there was lots of Black Sea urchins which are dangerous! I would avoid doing the snorkelling part and relax on the top deck instead for half an hour!
Hotel pick ups were well organised and when we got to the boat there was an introduction in German and English. The journey to the National Park was pleasant with a light breakfast on offer. There were free soft drinks, tea, coffee and water available all day. The format is that when you arrive at the first location the group splits into two – either you kayak or can stay on the boat and snorkel. We chose not to snorkel but swim around the boat and enjoy the warm sea (also able to jump off the boat into the water). Abuse you leave you then get a lively Thai buffet lunch that is served and the head to the emerald inland lake (care it is quite a climb). Following that you are taken to the national park on the main island. You would normally be given a choice of more kayaking but the wind had picked up and we were not able to kayak again. You are able to spend time on the beach or walk to the observation platform. Having been told it was 25 minutes up and 25 minutes down we decided against it. We were back at the main harbour for about 16:40. The staff were very friendly, the boat was spacious and had both sun and shade areas. A nice way of seeing the National Park.
We enjoyed a fantastic boat excursion to the Angthong Marinepark. We had the chance to swim in some beautiful places and to visit some small islands paddling in a kayak.The landscapes were very beautiful and we were able to paddle inside some tunnels.The staff was very nice and serious.
+ all essential islands into 1 day trip+ tour lead is very experienced and knowledgeable + kayak activity is very fun just beware of clumsy tour mates whom may injure u+ breakfast, lunch & tea break provided with free flow of beverages – pick-up driver is discriminating against Chinese eg cannot recognized us despite that me & my son are the only 2 Chinese in his minivan. Every guests dropped off in front of the hotel lobby but he dropped us off at the opposite road of the hotel with a very heavy traffic flow which is unacceptable. I did ask him why is he not sending us back to hotel lobby with no explanation. Super terrible service!- too physically straining to cover so many activists in a day – kayaking, snorkeling + hiking
Pick-up in comfortable AC Mini Vans. Very quick processing at the pier ( read: board the ship and off it goes). Slow and enjoyable ship rode with sundeck. First stop we were alone, which is quite remarkable in this touristicly crowded place. Mark and his guys looked out for everyone on the kayaking tours, even those fliping the boat twice 😁. The clearing of dishes by the crew is not something, u see on other tours (as well as a ship big enough for the meals to be served during the transfer passages) 👍.On the other two (and more crowded) places, several options were offered (visit the spot, chill on the beach or sunbath on the ship. And as there were “only” three stops none of them felt pressed in, but relaxing as it should be.I hope u will still be running this when i ever get back here again (and by then have other tours maybe ;))
We were picked up at our hotel in van with A/C and driven to the boat. We picked this trip because we were advised that Marcus did not pack his boat full of tourists like some other groups, and chose quieter parts of the Ang Thong marine reserve for kayaking/snorkelling/swimming. Overall, this was a great experience. It was physical, fun and offered amazing views. Breakfast (pastries and fresh fruit) and lunch (chicken massaman curry and stir-fried veg) were provided, along with water, coffee and soft drinks all day. Marcus and his team were very friendly and helpful, and we would highly recommend this day trip.
