Very nice stay on this beautifull island. Great beaches and inland mountains. A lot to see, take ferry or speedboat to go to the nices islands nearby. Don’t miss Koh Phangan, Koh Tao en Ang Thong Marine Park. Explore Samui with motorbike you will have great days and you will return for sure.
It’s something you will be seeing all the time since it’s near the town centre. A nice place to stroll but not anything amazing.
Chaweng lake exists purely to supply water to the surrounding area. There are no watersports or fishing activities on the lake except for the occasional local fisherman.
We visited Chaweng area often. This beautiful natural asset – the lake – has been completely neglected and is tragically underutilized. Proper development into a Waterfront tourist attraction could easily compete with the likes of San Francisco, Cape Town and Sydney among others.A visionary could fantasize for a long time thinking about this. Small lake with park around for citizens doing fitness, running… There are Muaythai studium, central, restaurants around
While the immediate surroundings of the lake are beautiful (very European), the businesses around the lake itself — go carts, bungee jumping, reggae bars, drinking bars have all seen better days. Lots of people jogging and the Warehouse is a great coffee stop while walking around the lake.
This lake is filthy. There was a line guy who was hand sweeping and was seen taking garbage out of this dirty lake. Sad
I would not say this is an attraction of any sort, it is simply a dirty looking, bleak lake. We ended up on the other side in what looked like a building site and it was extremely underwhelming. Perhaps on the other side and on a sunny day it may be different.
It’s a great lake to walk around. It’s surrounded by Bars and Shops and the Central Shopping Centre. You have great views of the Pagoda on the mountain. And all yer round there are events. Also there are exercise machines to use if you want to do some fitness.
