Me and my partner did the TDI sidemount and Nitrox courses, as well as lots of other fun diving with Big Blue. The company were great in every aspect and we couldnt have been happier! The office ensured we got the best possible diving options everyday, the dive team looked after us on the boat and our instructors Andy and Fiona Campbell were brilliant in supporting us to achieve our personal training goals, always with a focus on high standards, safety and of course fun! I couldn’t reccommend them enough, thank you!
Fantastic people, great vibes, and amazing experience!I’ve done both my deep course, side mount and nitrox with Big Blue Tech and every class was great, going above in beyond with knowledge, experience, and also giving great tips on other key skills like buoyancy. Also nothing quite as special as diving off of Big Blue (A smaller boat) after locating a wreck with the bottom finder. Truly amazing and I cannot recommend the entire experience more.
Recently completed my side-mount course with BB Tech. Our group had 2 instructors Fiona and Tim…both very knowledgable, great fun and made the course very easy to follow. Great tips and tricks to make setting up and diving side mount simple, comfortable and easy. Boat set up great, dive sites picked to suit our requirements and once we had got our skills down we headed out to some of the deeper sites. The standard of teaching, training techniques and safety are second to none. Could not recommend Big Blue Tech enough, quality operation with impeccable standards.
I planned to do fun dives on my CCR but the airline delayed my cylinders for almost a week. Alex and Andy were amazing and, by calling around, we managed to source parts to get me diving. Alex was very patient at helping me get used to a different configuration and we took it slow to get me diving.The baggage issue did cut down the number of dives I did but I think it’s a good excuse to come back dive with them in Koh Tao. A very well-run, professional setup that I’d recommend to anyone.
Came in to try Sidemount. Ended up doing Sidemount, Advanced Nitrox, Decompression Procedures and Solo Diver, and buying Sidemount gear. And would have done more courses if I had more time.Andy and Fiona are fantastic instructors and I’m deeply convinced that Big Blue Tech is the best place for tech diving on the island, and probably in Asia. They share an unmatched amount of knowledge and genuinely care about your diving skills, massively advancing your diving. Their teaching is as thorough as it can be, but a lot of fun at the same time. I left as a much better diver and will surely be back some day.Fully recommend Big Blue Diving, Andy and Fiona to anyone who wants to try tech diving.
Spent a fantastic week diving and learning with Fiona and Andy. Incredibly patient, knowledgeable and helpful instructors and it was always fun to grab a drink after a day out. Would definitely come back and pick up where we left off, thanks a lot 👍

I did my internship with big blue tech, and I’ll tell you… it was probably one of the best decisions I ever made. Andy, Fiona, Gavin and the whole team are great.I started my technical training with technical sidemout and AN/DP and after a good number of dives I moved on to Advanced wreck and Extended Range.It was great to have the chance to dive with the other interns between the different levels. It really helped me to improve.I’d especially like to thank Andy, who has been extremely helpful with my projects, finding equipment, etc. More than just an instructor, he has been a mentor over the last few months.Today I’m leaving Koh Tao with lots of memories and lots of new friends… I’ll be back.Don’t hesitate, with big blue tech you can’t go wrong…have fun don’t die 🙂
Shoutout to lovely FIONA!Already during my DMT, Fiona’s loving and caring nature stood out. As I am employed as a Dive Master, Fiona was very flexible when it came to planning the “Solo Diver” course.What I noticed straight away was that YOU GET SO MUCH MORE THAN WHAT YOU PAY FOR! The experience and skills that Fiona brings and incorporates into the course made me grow in confidence.The academics part of the course was fun and interesting and the dives were just awesome! We planned a dive to practise skills and go through scenarios and the next dive was navigation and a simulated solo dive with fiona always near me!OMG I immediately loved it!As caring as Fiona is, she offers to be on the boat with you for your first solo Dive ever and she will wave at you under water when you cross ways.I can not stress enough how great the days with Fiona were!Professionalism, fun and caring – this is Fiona to me!
