My first ever diving experience. At first I was nervous, but after a small briefing and tips about diving we went to the pool and practiced. After that we did two dives in de ocean. Unfortunatly, I was unable to make it down, so my instuctor suggested we try again the day after, but then in the deeper pool. He took his time and it was very succesfull! Definitly recommend!
We had 2 super dives today with Devesh (right spelling 😉). He made us confidents and he was really professional. We Felt safe at first sight and he confirmed it as a great instructor. This dive Shop was recom by a friend and i highly recom it on Koh Tao. We ll surely ve back to divers with them. Many thanksAll the best from the Canadians
We had an awful experience at the Seashell dive centre and are now out of pocket for 22,000 baht for courses that we didn’t complete due to the behaviour of the centre manager. We booked and paid upfront for a day of fun dives and 2 AOW courses. After an awful experience where I became very cold and sick on the fun dives due to torrential rain strong wind , choppy sea and inappropriate kit, we asked to be refunded for the AOW or to wait until conditions were calmer. The manager said that we could not be refunded but could wait for calmer conditions and we extended our time in KT by another week in order to wait for things to calm down. However, the following day we popped into the centre and the managers attitude was completely different, he was rude and difficult and following some very unpleasant interactions with him over the following few days, we took the decision to not go forward with the course. One of the instructors who witnessed the managers behaviour apologised on his behalf giving the excuse that he was in a bad mood as had broken up with his girlfriend ! It was evident that once he had our money that he was uninterested with no level of customer care. On the fun dive, kit was poor, with a thin shorty wetsuit provided that was not suitable for the weather conditions, no boots, fins that were too small as they didn’t have any other sizes. Our instructor however was dressed in a full wetsuit and boots etc as said he tends to get cold. There was no provision of snorkels despite PADI guidance stating that these are an essential piece of safety equipment and no basic first aid care / procedures provided for cold, sick customers. When we asked for snorkels, we were told that they are unnecessary and just get in the way. The manager has refused to give his name and diver number despite repeated requests which raises further alarm bells and he has ignored all initial emails and messages. Finally, we received a response whereby he said that we had booked onto the course on 3 occasions and not attended. This was completely untrue as no date had been set for us to do it at all. We had travelled to Koh Tao to do some fun dives and complete our AOW courses and had completed all of the online e-learning . Our experience at seashell dive centre ruined our trip to this island. After some detective work, we have established that the dive centre managers name is Hasan Can Toker . I wonder what his reasons for hiding this are ! Again, not the actions of a professional and transparent dive centre manager. There are many other dive centres in KT and we were very unlucky with choosing Seashell.
The diving experience was amazing! We were two DSDs and one instructor – perfect match! Devesh (instructor) was just amazing. We had so much fun and learned so many new things from him. The dive was amazing, we felt really safe and one could see that Devesh also had much fun under water which boosted our confidence. On the boat, we were only a small group of 6 divers + crew. Everyone was really fun and relaxed. Big recommendation!
We have had a very poor experience with Seashell dive centre in Koh Tao. The manager was unhelpful and rude after we had booked and paid for our dive course but due to the issues that we had experienced he agreed to refund us. That was two months ago and no refund has been received despite repeatedly chasing. There is very poor communication and emails and messages are just being ignored. There does not appear to be any professionalism or customer service provided once they have your money.
We went for a fundive. We had two dives for about 30 min. each and it was a great experience! We were safe and comfortable all the time and the instructor was very skilled, patient and nice. I recommend seashell divers to everyone.
COMPLAINT: SUBMISSION OF PAID DIVE PHOTOS AND VIDEOS LONG OVERDUE – STILL NO RESPONSE !!My girlfriend and I had our very first dive with Seashell Divers Koh Tao on Feb 13. It was a great and absolutely unique experience, especially thanks to our fantastic instructors Esther and Moon. However, we are still waiting for the video footage and photos that were captured during our dive. We had paid for that service in advance and Seashell Divers promised to provide us the full material, but we are STILL WAITING for this to happen. So far, we have tried to contact the team’s administration about a dozen times, via phone calls, emails, website contact form inquiries – all of which have so far been ignored until this day!!Such behavior is absolutely unacceptable, disrespectful and close to being fraudulent.As mentioned, we had already paid for the dive photos and video footage in advance and insist on our right to own said material!It is such a shame that Seashell Divers Koh Tao seems to completely lack any sense of customer service and forces us to spend our time and energy on running after them for something that should have been an absolute no-brainer in the first place! We are angry and utterly annoyed! Once again: PLEASE URGENTLY SEND US OUR DIVE PHOTOS AND VIDEO FOOTAGE!!!!Once we have received the full material, I will gladly change this complaint into a 5-star-review.
I came to Koh Tao to do my PADI open water course and on arrival was looking to start next day and with so many options I couldn’t decide where to go.I had spoken to Dave and couple others at this place and were happy to answer my questions showed clear passion, experience and care for safety regarding diving, whereas other places were more focused on the price and saying you’ll get your license no problem we’ll smash you through the theory. After this conversation the place gave me good vibes and felt like I was in safe hands for learning to dive having never dived before. They said it would be a group no more than 4 which is good compared to other school with larger groups where it would take longer to learn and less individual guidance. In the end it ended up being 1 on 1 with Dave and he was great, was happy to re go through stuff I struggled with and also answered any questions and cleared up any confusion. Instead of the classroom theory it was all done on e-learning on my phone in my own time which I found better being my able to do it at my own pave rather than with others. Not gonna lie it did take like 5 hrs in total but it is importantly knowing the theory for your own and others safety. Overall great experience and would recommend coming here to anyone who’s serious about diving. All staff were polite and helpful and the master divers were a good crack also! Thanks Dave! Scott
