Indochina Odyssey Tours is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking Thailand
We used odyssey tours through out Thailand and Vietnam. We were beyond pleased with the quality of our tour guides and our itinerary. Very informational but also fun. The personal transportation is a must to get the most out of your days there. Loved having a driver and a tour guide. The guides made excellent recommendations for dinners and spas they made us feel like locals and not just tourists. I would very highly recommend this tour company fir anywhere in SE Asia.
Amazing itinerary allowing us to see the highlights of Thailand in a week. Tami, or guide in Bangkok, was above & beyond. Great English, knowledge of culture & history, prepared for everything with refreshments, took our photos, purchased souvenirs, handled our luggage & got us through the airport.Outside of Bangkok, they were more drivers than guides…meaning limited conversation, but still prompt, efficient, pleasant & armed with drinks/snacks.Overall excellent service. One critique – some gesture of compensation would have been appreciated when planned activities were cancelled due to weather.
Odynovo organized my clients Thailand trips with private guides and tours. It is a pleasure to work with Kyle. He is very knowledgeable and very well organized. I will truly use Odynovo in the future for other trips. I highly recommend Odynovo. Thank you.
Another excellent trip with Odynovo working with Andy Xie!! I have traveled to China, India, Egypt/Jordan and now Cambodia/Thailand with Odynovo working with Andy there. Every trip has been fantastic with simply excellent service. This trip my guides were: Tong in Bangkok, Audy in Chiang Mai, and Ngor in Phuket. All were simply outstanding and always go the extra mile. That is the common standard I have seen from Odynovo in every trip I take with them. They are my go-to service for my world travels.
I just wanted to say from start to finish how great our trip was. Mandy Chen was our travel agent, I told her what all we wanted to see in Thailand and she made a great and affordable trip for us.All of our drivers and tour guide were great. I have to say Lid in Bangkok went above and beyond. He bought little food items for us to try, Helped with picking out the best food for us. And gave us a history lesson of the Royal family and of the Temple’s. Everything went very smooth, I will book again with them.
Our tour guide was named Andy and he was one of the nicest and happiest people we have ever met. He was so knowledgeable and he was very accommodating. I was struggling with the heat and he was very patient. He knew a lot about his country, history and everything in Bangkok.
Louis Huang of Odynovo made all arrangements for our fantastic 22 day SE Asia journey, including the final 6 days in Thailand. Our guides in Chiang Rai (Ruby) and Bangkok (Oom) were exceptional. In Chiang Rai, Ruby had to work around a four day Thai holiday, but we never felt surrounded by crowds. She took us several places not usually part of the itinerary on this trip, but special to us, including Elephant Valley, El Shadai orphanage, and several hill tribe villages. Her communication with local folks opened doors usually closed (or just ajar?) to tourists. In Bangkok, Oom revised our itinerary to fit in the last practice of the rare Royal Barge Processional (52 barges, 2200 oarsmen) concluding the coronation of King Rama X. She later emailed us pictures of the actual procession, which took place on the day we flew home. Our Thai travels were made truly special by Odynovo and by these knowledgeable and warm guides.
Odynovo is amazing! This was my 3rd trip with Odynovo (also went to Egypt & Dubai with them). We spent 2 days in Bangkok and packed every moment full! Started off with the Royal Grand Palace and Siam Niramit show and then Temple of the Dawn, Reclining Buddha and Golden Buddha and to top it off, an elephant sanctuary! I highly recommend my travel consultant Gina with Odynovo. She was able to plan the perfect trip for my family. I like to pack in as much as possible and she lived up to every expectation! Odynovo truly listens to it’s travelers and customizes the perfect trip! Drivers and tour guides are always the BEST and always on time, friendly and ready to share their knowledge. We loved every moment!
Our tour in Bangkok was just part of a one month private tour of Indochina with Odynovo that was fantastic thanks to the excellent planning by Mia Wang at Odynovo and the great guides and drivers we had on our trip. The planning process took several weeks and many emails with Mia to customize the trip. Her emails were always clear and prompt. She stayed in contact with us during the trip to make sure everything was going according to plan. Our itinerary included Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Phong Nha caves, Hue, Hoi An, Ho Chi Minh City, My Tho, Can Tho, Siem Reap, Luang Prabang, Chiang Mai and Bangkok. Our tips for other travelers:* Three days is enough time in Bangkok. * Choose a hotel with convenient access to the Sky Train. We used the Sky Train quite a bit. They have English speaking staff in the ticket booths, and frequent trains. * We really enjoyed Ayutthaya and highly recommend returning (part way) back to Bangkok by boat. * If your plan states that there will be a short stop at a site, be sure to clarify what is included. We learned that an entrance fee was not included. * If your international flight arrives in the early morning and your plan states that you will be checked in, be sure to clarify who will be responsible if the hotel imposes early check-in fees. We learned that this fee was our responsibility. We want to recognize the job well done by our excellent English speaking, knowledgeable guide, who took good care of us in Bangkok, Ms Siriluck Jingnok (Lucky) and our driver, Addun. Thank you both for a trip we will always remember.
Working with the very accommodating Wanda Tang for Indochina Odyssey Tours (Odynovo), we created my wife and my belated 2 week honeymoon itinerary in Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam just as the last of the major Covid restrictions were being lifted in the region. Our trip was absolutely spectacular; probably the most amazing trip we’ve ever had together. Truly a trip of a lifetime. From the beginning in Singapore we felt very welcomed. The city and gardens of Singapore are modern marvels full of vibrant flowers. The temples and palaces of Bangkok are majestic and the Floating Market is truly unique. The ancient city of Angkor is incredible, Bayon Temple and Angkor Wat being tremendous highlights of the trip. The Cu Chi Tunnels were a great learning experience about Vietnamese (and American history) and the Mekong Delta was a very nice day trip from Ho Chi Minh. The War Museum in Ho Chi Minh City was jarring and disturbing, but very important for Americans to see and I am really thankful I got to see it. Touring Hanoi’s food culture, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and house complex, and adding the Temple of Literature made for a great day. And of course, the Ha Long Bay Cruise was utterly sublime. Our guides in every country were wonderful. Nick, our guide in Thailand, was very good, knowledgeable and friendly and he helped us add the River Kwai bridge at the last minute, for which we were very thankful. Louis in Ho Chi Minh City was very attuned to questions and a very good guide. Mr. Khon in Cambodia and Harry in Hanoi I think both stood out especially well as guides. They had a vast knowledge of all things we toured and helped us take amazing photos. The food in both Cambodia and Hanoi was unbelievably good and both guides’ recommendations were stellar. Those two really went above and beyond. All hotels were also very good, especially Tara Angkor Hotel in Cambodia (best food I’ve ever had in a hotel). The views from our rooms in Sanouva Saigon Hotel and Hanoi Brilliant Hotel were very lovely. The restaurant in the Days Hotel in Singapore had the best breakfasts of the trip, and Siri Sathorn in Bangkok had a very nice breakfast buffet. The Athena cruise food and drinks and Kayaking and Swimming itinerary was perfect. I am very surprised to say that our flights also went extraordinarily well despite the problems covid and reopening tourism after shutdowns has caused many airlines. We had no delays or problems with any flights at all. All in all, my only recommendation would be to add Gardens by the Bay and the Fort Canning Battle Box as a thing to include tickets for in the Singapore itinerary, even if it raised the cost of the package a small bit. We were able to explore them on our own and buy tickets during down time, but if I would not have known to see these things on my own, I would have really missed out. The National Orchid Garden was beautiful in our tour, but Gardens by the Bay of course is the signature modern claim to fame of Singapore and it would be devastating to miss. I am very thankful our guide was able to drop us off there after our tour ended at our request. The Battle Box is one of the most interesting museums I have ever seen and is ranked as the #1 best museum in Singapore and #6 best museum in all of Asia (TripAdvisor 2021). It made me think about WWII in a whole different way, and we kind of only stumbled upon it reading about things to do at our hotel. I think many more Odynovo clients travelling to Singapore would appreciate it in their itinerary because it is so interesting descending into the Bunker that was such an integral part of world history.
