This trip was awesome! The mountain biking was the best I have experienced so far. The trail, and jungle were pristine. My bike was a perfect fit, just like my custom bike at home. The quality of the trip was unreal and so were the guides. Lunch was good too! Most highly recommended in Thailand. AAAAA+
The guides and the gear provided were great! Cool caves and fun kayaking. Lunch was fantastic local Thai food freshly prepared.
I’ve kayaked at many places around the world and this trip ranks as one of the most memorable! The guides were fun and helpful. The jungle and the river were something else! It was both exciting and relaxing. Looking at my photos… it was impossible to capture the experience. I’ll be back!?
Complete clown show. I scheduled a week in advance and heard nothing from operator till the morning of. He told me to get a taxi across the providence to the cave. I refused and asked why he waited until the morning of to inform me that this was his plan. Avoid this operator like the plaque. Now I am going to drag him through legal proceedings to get my money back.
Awesome trip, with friendly and helpful guides. The river kayak is a mellow and chilled with calm water.Totally recommend this company.10/10!
We did Chiang Mai Jungle White Water Kayaking @ Mae Wang River yesterday with Aiden as our instructor. It was low river, but that was not a problem. Everyone in my group has been kayaking before and knows the basics of how to kayak. This was our first experience with rapids and maneuvering around stuff in the water. We expected and needed guidance and input as we figured out our way around obstacles and tricky parts in the river. Aiden, whom we assume is the owner of this business, took this “instruction” to a different level. Yes, we expected him to raise his voice in order to be heard above the river. This was not the problem. Almost every instruction was accompanied with rude/condescending comments such as “what are you doing! Why would you do that!”, “why are you grabbing onto that!”, “why would you make that move!”. He made everyone in the group feel on edge, and no matter what we did, we did something wrong and got yelled at for it. One example: the beginning of the tour, my friend and I were paddling slow and found ourselves at the lead. Aiden made a comment like “why are you ahead of me?”. Okay. Later on in the tour we again found ourselves at the lead and decided to Eddy Out, as instructed. Mid-eddy, I got yelled at “why would you pull over there! We have to get going, what are you doing!?”. This is one example of many. He has a bad temper and is a good kayaker. But not everyone who is good at something, has what it takes to be a teacher. He also treated the coworkers/employees with impatient tones and just really did NOT make this tour fun.
Awesome trip, with friendly and helpful guides. Excellent day out!Totally recommend this company to anyone looking for an ace day out doing techy MTB.10/10!
Another amazing trip with Chiang Mai Mountain Biking & Kayaks! We bring young students to Chiang Mai and we booked kayaking, hiking and mountain biking. The instructors have always emphasised safety as a priority and ensures our students including us adults have a memorable experience. Thanks again and will see you next year!
Our guide Jen (J-Lo) was amazing! From the fantastic cave, we went kayaking downstream and it was so much fun!The kayak instructor kept teasing us, as me and hubby were on a double kayak but everyone fell onto the water except for us lol Very fun experience, 100% recommend!KhoP Khun Ka from your friend Carla and Raju from the UK.
Had a great time!!! Im a beginner mountain biker and the ride was the perfect amount of challenging and fun! The guide was great and made sure we all had a really fun and positive experience
What an amazing tour. I got picked up at my hostel and we were given a pre-kayak meal to ensure we had enough energy to make it through the day. Then we got a clear briefing and we were off. The river gave us astonishing views of the Thai jungle, as well as some challenging but doable obstacles to overcome. It was very beginner friendly, though be prepared to get wet if your motor-skills are questionable ;). I fell in once, but we had a laugh about it and the river temperature was enjoyable. After the kayaking we shared lunch (which can be catered to veggie/vegan diets) and we drove back to Chiang Mai. During the drive we had a good laugh together and I got some great tips from the guide about what to do in South East Asia. Couldn’t be happier, thanks for a great time!
Thank you Golf and Bass, you made the tour so much fun. I really enjoyed the whole day and saw some more of Chiang Mai’s natural beauty. Kayaking was also so much fun haha. The lunch was delicious. Everything was just brilliant. I would highly recommend.
