When we organized our second vacation in ??? ??? one thing was sure right away: We want to book another bike tour with Chris.Five years have passed since our last trip and it was one of our highlights during that time.We were glad that Chris was still in Hua Hin so we checked the homepage and choose the “????? ?? ??? ?????”-tour.Planning with Chris is both ?????? ??? ????????????. We could choose our own date, sent him our height and address and got our pick up time.Chris and his lovely wife Gae welcomed us at the mini van right in front of our hotel and we left the city behind to get to the Burmese border.Now I won’t tell you about all the kilometers we rode, all the great different stops we made and all the fantastic things we saw and leant but I will tell you this:???? ??? ???? ???? ??? ??? ???? ????? ??? ???? to see ????????? ??????? after beautiful scenery that makes you wanna move to this wonderful place on earth.? ????????? ??????? that makes you feel like President and First lady – with the van always right behind you to protect you, loaded with cold water, fresh fruit and yummy sweets.? ????????? ???? ???? in local places with the ocean right in front of you.? ??????? ??????????? about life in Thailand, the country’s nature and Chris’ (almost) film career.? the ??????? ??? ?? ??????, ??????????? ??? ?????? that gives you the opportunity to discover more than other travelers might see in a whole week.When you think you already have a good vacation with a nice pool at the hotel, a thai massage every other day and sticky rice with mango for dessert go on a bike ride with Chris and ???? ???? ?? ??? ??? ???? ?????? ?????!P.S.: After finishing this tour we booked a second one right away. Couldn’t miss this opportunity.
I wanted to rent an e-bike for a day and contacted Hua Hin Bike Tours/Adventure Cycling Thailand. Unfortunately they did not rent e-bikes but did offer a day tour by e-bike. I took advantage of that and certainly don’t regret it. It was a varied trip south of Hua Hin, ending with a delicious lunch. Thank you Chris and Gae for the warm welcome and fun bike ride!
We have been on over 30 cycling trips across 20 countries, mainly unguided, but we felt we needed a guided tour to get the best out of Thailand and boy we were so pleased that after much research we chose Adventure Cycling Thailand, as Chris and Gae gave us a cycling adventure of a lifetime !!! Everything about the adventure from our initial email enquiry to saying a fond farewell at the end of our magical tour was made so easy and a was total joy. Chris and Gae were so friendly and helpful, before the tour they did a video call to us in Scotland to go over everything about the tour and answer any queries, plus they helped us plan other parts of our trip to Thailand pre and post our tour. The tour itself was fantastic, we were able to visit soooo many different towns and see a huge number of buildings, places of interest and costal landscapes. We also sampled a wide range of brilliant Thai foods throughout the tour, while staying in lovely but very different 4* hotels with pools. Everything was so relaxing and enjoyable as Chris and Gae are so knowledgeable about the whole area we covered from Bangkok to Chumphon over 11 days. We simply got up each morning met Chris and Gae for breakfast and set off on the great bikes they provide. Chris gave us a witty but interesting running commentary throughout the day, stopping at places of interest and places for photo shoots many you would never find on your own. Meanwhile Gae follows close by in the support van full of chilled drinks ( including our G&T and wine ) and fresh fruits for regular stops. She also selects a great range of food dishes to share at restaurants for lunch and dinner ( once she knows your preferences), which is a must – as many of the rural beach restaurants have no menus you simply tell them what dishes you want to order. Even where there are menus they are not available in English so ordering would be pretty challenging . All in all this was not only a fantastic trip but also exceptional value for money as all meals, entrance fees etc were included in the overall cost. In our opinion there could not have been a better way to see the east coast of Thailand than this very personalised tour with Chris and Gae who were exceptional tour guides and companions throughout. We would highly recommend any of their tours.
Just got back after 4 days cycling with Chris and Gae. Lovely people, very knowledgable on the local area and Thai culture. We enjoyed letting Gae recommend food as this allowed us to try many different dishes. Having the van following meant we could relax, knowing there was always a ride if needed. At every stop cold water, fresh fruit, ice were provided to help you refuel. The hotels chosen were great all ensuring you got a good night sleep ready for the next days riding. The whole trip really was an adventure that is extremely well organised and we highly recommend booking with Chris and Gae.
Great cycling day trip with beautiful scenery that the kids enjoyed. Well stocked support vehicle with cold fruits and water. Chris went out of his way to help with the youngest member’s bike fit out too. Thank you guys for an awesome outing!
35 kilometer bike trip of South Hua Hin with Chris who enthusiastically shares his vast local knowledge and discovering some beautiful beaches along the way, finished off having a local delicious Pad Thai.
The Cha-Am Bike Wildlife Adventure Tour we did was fantastic , with the perfect blend of cycling and sightseeing. We are novice cyclists but Chris’s attentiveness and care made us feel confident and capable. He’s a great guide, and together with his team, gave us an unforgettable experience. 100% worth it!
We booked a 4 day cycle tour last minute, starting in Hua Hin and heading south. Chris was an outstanding guide from the beginning. He was incredibly helpful with planning our trip, offering suggestions of places to stay at either end and onward travel options.The trip itself was stunning – the scenery was beautiful, varying between coastal routes and countryside; the people were friendly; all the places we stayed were by the sea and very comfortable. And the food! Chris and his wife, Gay, looked out for restaurants serving the best local dishes, choosing our menus each night and tailoring meals to our spice tolerance.Chris quickly felt more like an old friend than a tour guide. He has a passion for the area and shared it with us generously, explaining local customs in terms we could relate to. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!
What a fabulous cycling tour this was.The supplied bikes were excellent and the support team magnificent in every way from fixing a puncture to helping with our bags.The accommodation was 5 star and in great beachside areas.I genuinely cannot fault the 10 days of cycling we had with this company.
The service and friendliness of the staff and owners were great; kudos to Gaye, Chris and Akira . They provided me with an excellent hybrid bike, basically brand new . I had it for 7 days straight and toured Hua Hin and the ex countryside . Will come back here again in 4 weeks time . Additionally, they installed my personal cleated bike pedals to fit my bike shoes .
